So what are you guys trying to tell me? The pizza boy isn't a good authority? Rubber connecting rods aren't such a good idea? Hiding additional engine cylinders elsewhere on the car won't work? It's almost as though my post was a joke!

someone please explain to me how ferrari run a 3ltr engine when the cars are stripped pre and after the event by the fia including many seal checks by the fia including on the fuel tank after qualifying and at other points during the weekend

the only thing they can alter is the fuel mixtures which is allowable and gain an advantage that way

The good authority is a kid at my local pizza joint that has relatives that live in Italy (I think it was Italy- it was somewhere in Europe).

The two common displacement-enhancement tricks of the trade are:

1. Rubber connecting rods. At standstill, the displacement is 2.4 liters, however, as you rev the engine up the rods stretch, increasing the stroke.

2. Hiding additional engine cylinders elsewhere on the car. I'm not sure where they hide them. If we knew that, it wouldn't be a trick.
