    I am certain that he would be second as his showing has been all weekend. If I were Ron I would knock him backwards by way of strategy. There is more than on way to skin a cat! He can soon be dropped back a place with little risk to the result! Hope Raikkonen protests! Cheating little toe rag

      All the new 'I've followed him his whole career' Hamilton fans would be saying what a wise move it was - Schumacher 'blocked' at Monaco last year and was sent to the back - I trust the FIA will do the same to Alonso!

Its just so desperate and underhand if you dont nip cheating in the bud it will end up like the football full of cheats with the drivers sugaring each others petrol tanks, letting each others tyres down and the old potatoe in the exhaust trick. I dont care who they are a cheat is a cheat

        I had respect for Alonso and what he's achieved, but this was blatant cheating against his own team mate, and if he can do that to a supposed mate & friend, i would'nt want to know what he'd do to his enemy. Dirty trick none the less.

      Actually if you read the latest reports, LH has started messing with the whole session first, not respecting team orders to let Alonso go in front during fuel-burning laps.
      He apparently used very disrespectful words to express that to Dennis. LH didnt let Alonso pass, and thats why Alonso held him up. So in fact Alonso didnt "cheat" he just made sure he'd teach the kid a lesson or two.

      And it can't be easy for FA to be in a team that's all concentrating on making LH a legend in his rookie year.
      Teammates maybe but racing eachother thats for sure.

        Your on a different planet mate if you think that Alonso did not 'cheat' by holding up Hamilton in the pits to 'deny' him a final qualifying lap. So what if Hamilton did not respect team orders at the fuel burning stage, it was hardly do or die as Alonso was only marginally lighter than Hamilton. If anything those idiots at McLaren should have let Alonso out first if they wanted both drivers to maximise their strategy.

      Totally agree with you - not suggesting it is a 'free for all' but you know through the history of F1 that the drivers who took risks, who gambled and who pushed themselves, the car AND the rules to the limit (and beyond) were the ones who racked up the World Championships.

      Yes, this was under-hand and deserves punishment.

        EVERY world champion is a hard charging, full on, win at all costs racer - THAT is why the hardest drivers are multiple world champions - Schumacher, Piquet, Senna - driven to win.

        Why did Mansell, Hill et al. only get one? They lucked into it - neither had the balls when the going got tough, same as Button.
