Owen's the new no. 7?

We've had legends and very good players in the no.7 history of United. I for one am not happy Owen got it. I would have wanted another player to wear it not Valencia but maybe Obertan or Tosic if they prove their worth in the coming years. I would have preferred the no.7 to be vacated till someone suitable is chosen for it. Some or most of you might disagree with most of my statements.
What are your views on it?
