I really don't see him winding anyone up, more like a childlike attempt to abuse anyone who does not agree with him.   obviously we dont know which came first but my thinking behind the chicken being first is this...have you ever seen red dwarf? the character the cat...he evolved over time on the spaceship and that is my thinking on the chicken...it has evolved over time into the tasty treat that we can all purchase from KFC today.
