Just read a news regarding Ferguson wants to bid 12 mil for Charlie Adam, together with Jones, A.Young & Henderson, it seems SAF just want to avoid Liverpool from getting their targets.
For Jones & A.Young, it's obviously that Man United don't need these players. As case of Jones, they have Rio & Vidic for started CB, with covers of Smalling & Evans who at least not worse than Jones if not better, O'Shea can also take up that position too, they don't need to pay for 16.5 mil gambling on a young CB. For Young, Nani is absolutely brilliant than Young for performance last season, with Giggs & Park also good for that position, and now also chasing 30 mil Sanchez, why they still put Young as a top target?? for their best interest, they should put more attention on better choice Sanchez and keep Nani, not bid for Young.
"If talking about history, KK beated SAF during end 80s and beginning 90s, at that time Liverpool is champion under KK whereas Man United cant win league title under SAF, they are just lucky not fire SAF, if the same situation appeared nowadays, SAF must be fired as he cant win KK for many seasons....SAF or Man United began to win top league title was after KK has retired....
One thing I have forgotten is KK led another team won SAF after he left LFC, just cant remember whether it's Newcastle or Blackburn.
Therefore if some Man U fans who are so naive thinking that KK will bring negative effect, please look at the history first, SAF is loser when against KK, so it's not surprise that SAF pays attention to KK's LFC. Of course history is history, hope KK can lead LFC to win Man U again in future. YNWA "
Is this a scouse dialect ?
To say that Alex Fergerson is scared of King Kenny i think is trash and im a life long Liverpool fan!!! Imo i think it will prolong red noses career, as he will now start to enjoy the rivalry between him and Kenny. That they both want the same players is logical to me they are both very shrewed managers and succesful in their own right so they know something good when they see it. As for Kenny being a bad influence on the club.......Mate seriously the guy eats, sleeps, shits liverpool always will and is exactly the kind of influence we need! We are a proud club because of our tradition and the way the club used to handle it;s buisness... with respect! We lost that i think in the last few years and Kenny will bring that back. His man management and motivational skills are second to none, i mean look at the joy on his face when we score a nice goal or make a nice play it's great to see! And the style of football we have started to play is exciting, he is taking us in the right direction and with some financial backing i can see us competing for top honours once more. Thats where we belong and Kenny knows that.
what a stupid post every football fan knows dalglish will do one when the going gets tough like he did before. then when a new manager comes in dalglish will be putting his oar in he is a bad infulence in liverpool and looking from the outside i would get rid double quick
dsteer...again with regard to Adam , Holloway is on a small percentage , think 5% of any sell on fee as are Rangers all this as per contract when he was permanently signed from Gers . Think about the kind of daft money being offered currently for players not of the standard of Adam and u cant seriously blame Blackpool for wishing to cash in on their prize asset who also happens to be their inspirational captain as we all witnessed in our two fixtures against them last season...they will need every penny to attempt to rebuild their side after seven starters are looking to bail.
I think that Adam will , IF we sign him prove to be by far the best value for money of the summer signings and feel as I said previously in this thread that if we offer right money to our Lancashire neighbours and try to help both them and at the same time ourselves by loaning out for a full season perhaps Shelvey and Pacheco we surely will have the Adam deal sealed and have also set up better relations with a neighbouring club who could help us out in the future as we could probably well help them too. Its one thing to detest Uniturd but we also have to respect other neighbouring clubs in the way we expect a degree of respect from them.
I understand that from a business standpoint, and Oyston has to watch the bottom line. But the other side was what Adam has given to the club. He did not make a fuss in January when he did not get his move, has been on championship wages all year, and even though he could not at the end of the day keep them up, he's been a major factor in Blackpool getting a windfall this past year. I'm not saying they should give Adam away, but doing right by the player, who has more then given to the club, I think is not too much to ask.
In some ways the parallel is Maxi wanting to go back to his homeland, and hoping the club are flexible with his contract. If Adam or Maxi do a hissy as many players do when they want away that is one thing, but when it seems they've done things the right way, and not made waves I think the club owes them to at least try and help them to the next phase of their careers.
We've been tracking Jones for ages and planned to sign him next summer. Its true that we made a bid for him once Liverpool did, but he was already on our radar, our hand was just forced a season early.
The Charlie Adam story is b*llocks. Its just something the papers have made up to fill a page or so.
I think its a ridiculous claim to make that Fergie is signing players Liverpool want to buy. We dont have that much money for starters, and now that squads are limited to 25, you can only really buy players whom you see as having a role at the club, not just signing them because your rivals want them (as Chelsea used to do when Roman first took over!)

I agree the Adam to the Mancs story is most likely made up. Actually I think its fleet street going back over notes looking for a story and finding the quotes made about Adam's value by Fergie back in Jan, and then taking a giant leap to sell a couple rags.
You could look at this and think they are after our targets just to prevent us from getting them, but maybe also both managers have a similar eye for talent and for a change we're actually shopping at the top table this summer. I just hope we have the spending power to prevail.
Actually I'm not that surprised they went for Jones, and in fact think they have more of a need than us. Smalling is their future, but Evans I think is a bit light and 3rd choice at best. But with Rio over 30 and injury prone, he'll need replacing sooner rather than later, as he's already proven getting a full season out of him is a risk. Vidic is also 29, maybe a few years left at his peak, but not surprised they are going for a long term replacement.
Young is the one that has me scratcing my head. With Valencia and Nani they don't have a great need, and Young imo is too good a player to be a bench riding 3rd choice. So maybe Nani is on the way out, or maybe this was defensive as Fergie knows how much better we'd be with a Young like player roaming down our left flank.
Adam I hope we do get. although if we miss out it will not be the end of the world as we already have a number of central midfielders. But adding his grit not to mention his passing range would help us. However I'm not surprised the Mancs are in for him, and a bit surprised they did not go for him earlier. I think their bigger need is a creative play maker in the Modric/Nasri mold, however central midfield is their weakness imo, and getting someone in to play the role Hargrieves never did I think is something Fergie wants. How much did they pay for the Canadian transplant? Seems Adam could be a bargain at 12M so I hope its us who steal him away from them!

Its been a well known fact that we wanted Adams in Jan so I wonder what the hold up in getting him to put pen to paper. He wants to come to us so it must be the haggling over the fee. A player or two from us on loan in reverse is a great idea and Holloway really would be nuts not to take it. Do the mancs have any young talent to offer as a loan deal?
Who the bid for is their business. If we are looking at the available good players, surely every other manager may be looking at the same. Of course every ambitious EPL manager will look at LFC and take note. Let’s not assume that all good players will chose Manure ahead of us. Those that opt to go to the Mancs let them go. We need those players who really want to play for LFC, whether or not we are in the CL. If they bid that much for Adam and we cannot match it, then tough luck. But if the player really wants to join us, Blackpool can only do so much in holding on to him. Let’s see where the story ends.
