Liverpool Message Board
Just wondering how you Reds fans take SAF's statement that "Liverpool went off the radar for a bit. They are now back on it. Long term you know they are going to be there,"
Personally, I believe it is realistic. I said at the end of last season that I thought LFC would be a contender this year and recently on another forum that the Northwest may provide the strongest challenge to Utd.
You have a highly committed manager, who has an unimpeachable pedigree at Anfield, the basis of a solid squad from last year and some useful looking new signings.
So what do you think, a genuine compliment or mind games?
Classy post Ralf,
Any title won during wartime isn't for bragging rights by one club, it is a middle finger to any enemy of ours, a symbol to say that if you bomb our cities we will fight you, and as we fight you we WILL PLAY FOOTBALL!
i do belive that LFC will be title contenders this season. look how we did under ROY and look now that king KENNY is bk in charge. kenny has now got us going in the right direction he has brought in a few very good players like DOWNING, ADAM and DONI the goalkeeper. I just hope that all the players keep the momentum that we had at the end of last season.

Thanks for your comments.
Interesting that you all use the word 'scared' which I doubt SAF is. I can't imagine KD is scared of much, either, these are mentally very tough men.
It seems he is wary of LFC's potential resurgence and quite rightly so in my opinion.
LFC presents a clear and present danger to the campaign for title #20 and the key to a top 3 finish is consistency - you have proven that you can beat any team in the PL on your day, can you grind out a whole season like the classic Red's teams of the past?
As they say, time will tell, but as I said on the other thread I started recently, I hope your team (and all teams) avoid serious injuries and that we have a great season, with plenty of interest to the end.
Mind Games but with an element of respect...and fear.Dalglish learned mind games from Bob Paisley...who was the master of them.Liverpool will do their talking on the pitch anyway. If Fergie feels the need to start that kind of talk already then there is a element of fear in their.
