I have a couple of concerns with the idea.
1. Is he or will he ever be any where near what he once was. I have my doubts
2. What's his fitness like? Is he carrying a cronic injury or likely to spend too long (again) on the treatment table?
3. Money. What wil he want as wages and how much would the transfer be?
Personally I think there are too many doubts with some if not all of the above which makes me think we need to be looking elsewhere.
I'm also not 100% certain about his so called love for LFC. He was quite happy to announce his wish to move to London on the last day or so of the transfer window I believe.
Short answer I just don't know but I can't dispute our need for some changes to get the goals flowing
