I don't quite think he meant it in ability terms but rather the fact that he is the focal point and best player in our team but also needs and wants to play all the time. By all accounts he gets a bit peed off if he gets rested.
He's good but not as good as Messi for sure.
That's what I've read this morning anyway
Maybe not as good as Messi atm.. the potential is there though?
Messi has service from other players ie strikers.. seems to me Suarez has to do much by himself or have I got that wrong?

I don't think so. All I'd say is that I think Messi is in the very special player bracket while Suarez is in the category just below that.
You make a very valid point about the quality of service and players around them though. I think Suarez would be lethal in that Barca side.
I think Messi is a once in a generation player, like Cruyff or Pele. My opinion is that in time he will be seen as the best ever. No-one today really compares to him, even Ronaldo.
Suarez is a very good player. (He's a *** too.) But he's not Messi and isn't going to be Messi. That's not a criticism of him. Messi stands alone in terms of ability and continuing achievement.
And Messi doesn't spend half his time diving and whingeing and getting his retaliation in first.
