Boro boss Gareth Southgate has lined up a loan move for Slavkovski as he looks to bolster his attacking options.
Slavkovski is well down the pecking order at Inter and the Italian giants are willing to loan him out so that he can gain valuable first-team experience.
Reports emanating from Sweden suggest the 18-year-old is set to undergo a medical on Teesside on Wednesday ahead of the proposed move to The Riverside.
A number of clubs are believed to be trailing Slavkovski, but the player says Middlesbrough is the ideal destination for him.
"Middlesbrough are a perfect club," Slavkovski told Expressen.
