I don't condone football violence, but this is a finely researched documentary that questions and answers why young men in the early 80's behaved in a certain way. It is West Ham / East End social history and most of those people were sons and grandsons of the people who lived through the Blitz and worked the docks during WWII.

Well chaps it's social history isn't it? these people represented a segment of West Hams community whether you like it or not. With most being born, bred and living in the local vicinity. I've yet to meet anyone from Stepney, Mile End, Plaistow, Canning Town, Custom House Etc., who had a bad word to say. Every team had a hooligan element in the 80's, and as my old nan used to say, if a jobs worth doing it's worth doing well.
