I would like to say thanks for the comment...I am a West Brom fan living in Chicago, U.S.A. You pretty much relayed my thoughts and feelings about the Robson incident.
P.S. I have always enjoyed watching Aston Villa play. You still have the best team in the Midlands ..Congrat's.

I have to agree that Robson has to go. From the game against Middlesboro he has failed to pick the right team for virtually every game. Middlesboro - Kanu's firstgame back should have been teamed up with Ellington. At the time Middlesboro's defence was leaking goals and I think Ellington would have scored even though he was lacking in confidence. Chelsea - why did we play 4 5 1 against a Chelsea team that were actually in a dip in form! Ok I know we created some chances but without a natural goal scorer we never looked like scoring. It was only when we did go 442 that we created a decent chance and scored. Blues - Again should have been 442. Ellington scores with his first touch. Kamara couldnt hit cows arse with a banjo. Man U - should have played 451. Man u at the moment with Liverpool are the inform sides in the league so Robson should have kept it tight, instead he gives them the freedom of the midfield and we loose. Spurs - right formation, wrong team. how the hell did Andrew Johnson get in the team! Ok he runs round like a headless chicken and covers every blade of grass but he doesnt have any passing ability compared to Inamoto. Liverpool - see my coments about Man u! Villa - At last, he plays the right formation and the right team. One game where I dont blame Robson for us not winning.
Lets see what happens against Arsenal. Again I think we should play 451 and keep it tight. The problem is if it goes wrong and Arsenal score early I cant see that we have the players to change it.
As for buying and selling players I still dont think that Robson knows what palyers to buy. 25000 of us knew in January we needed a decent goal scorer, but what does Robson do, buys 2 midfield players, and a defender and then sells 2 strikers. I agree that it was great bussiness to get £3M for Earnshaw and how the hell did he sell Horsefield for £1M, but that leaves us with 2 carthorses (Kanu and Campbell), Ellington and a kid. Bloody hell i have gone on a bit, but if we do go down I lay the blame entirely at Robson, its his team!

I’m struggling to believe I’m reading any positive comments about Robson at all. We’ve gone backwards and it’s him who’s taken us there. He got lucky last season, and if it wasn’t for Richardson on loan we’d have been down long before the last day. I’m tired of hearing about the “Great Escape” and how we came back from being 8 points adrift. We weren’t 8 points adrift when he took over. We were 17th and a point clear of relegation. We had to escape from the situation he put us in with his crazy tactics and team selection. Then in the close season he didn’t get anyone in to even try to replace Richardson. Curtis Davies apart, what has he signed? All our best players were signed by Megson. And quite how he thinks that Kevin Campbell, Diomansy Kamara and Andy Johnson are worthy of playing in the Premier League is way beyond all comprehension. Robson was one of the worlds best midfield players, yet he puts Andy Johnson into a team to play in the position he filled. He nearly went to Bristol Rovers in the transfer window. What does he think he brings to the team? His substitutions come too late, he is far too negative in his formations and as for fielding weakened teams against the better sides, that’s just an insult to those who pay to watch us. He has to go.

Baggies fans, calm down. You have got a diamond in Bryan Robson. Knows what he wants and knows how to get it. The club finances and the non performance/injuries to some of your players have sent you down this season.

Whilst you can see Robson has been f...ed off this season hes kept his cool in front of the cameras but you know somebody has got a roasting in private. In fact the only time he has looked like losing it was the villa game and rightly so.

You are also forgetting you were championship certainties 12 months ago and he got you out of trouble.

The difference between our two clubs this season is pure luck, when i have watched your lot play your teams have harried, battled and run their hearts out to stay in a game. You know Robson has instilled the work ethic in them. Watching Villa this season has been cringingly embarrassing with lack lustre performances and non committed players embarrissing the Villa name. At least your lot have had a go.

If your club would allow him to invest in some quality u wouldn't be derbying with the blue noses next season.

I would suggest Robson isn't your problem its your board of directors holding on to your gate money that is the problem.

good luck in the championship, ive no doubt you will be back in the premiership soon.

I think Robson is a great manager I think he tells the lads what he wants from them and lines them up in decent formations often mirroring the opposition and I think he makes tactical substitutions at the right time.
I think he buys and sells badly majorly thinning the squad. He hasn't replaced Richardson and with Gera out virtually all season there has been noone to consistantly cross the ball to the strikers so they haven't had the ball at their feet, or only with their backs to goal. Kanu has helped there with his skill but not enough to make Earnshaw look worth keeping. Earnshaw wasn't big enough to jostle for the ball. He's tried to replace Richardson with Quashie late on but he has been out and not done the job as yet.
I say keep Robson but do we need a Director of football to coordinate the buys better? I know how unpopular this suggestion will be but Robson (or his back room staff) hasn't got the eye for what we need untill its too late.

I think you need Earnie!!! I dread to think where we would be if we hadn't managed to sign him from the baggies. Having said that, knowing Delia we could well be selling him in the January transfer window if we are mid table ( got to finance those pies ! ).

    A grateful Norwich supporter.

Zuberbuhler unsettles the back four - jittery enough on our travels, as it is - when he's between the sticks. This is a serious problem and Mowbray doesn't have long to sort it. Wasn't he after Brad Jones at some point? Whatever Hoult did, it must have been serious for Melton to drop him two days before the Wolves game...

Sheffield Wednesday is a must win. We will be getting out of the running if we aren't too careful obvious, but Curtis Davies is complaining "we are expected to go anywhere and win just because we are West Brom". In my opinion, yes if you can't win virtually everywhere in this league how are you ever going to go anywhere and win in the Premiership? Which is what we need to do because we can't expect to win all our home matches when Chelsea or Man U visit.
This is the not the attitude to expect from the baggies captain, nor any baggies player I want them to go with victory in their minds not defeat in their hearts. Buck up or clear off. Start playing for the cause, and win for the baggies.

May be good news for the older players as teams would bring on a penalty taker at the end of the game if a shoot out was inevitable. Old players in their 50's would come on for the last 5 minutes or so, we might even get to see Tony Brown make a comeback.

Ten points adrift at this stage and losing at home to a side depleted by serious injury problems, the changes in the odds may be justified if the new Man can't get control of the changing room. Leave it to the players he says, that echos the departed guy. Since when has a football team run a club? Except into a brick wall. Shake up, shape up and clear out the passengers.

After watching our so called prem players last night. We dont deserve to be where we are in the league. Every season is the same relying on teams around us to slip up. We need someone in charge (manager and chairman)to be passionate about this club. Watching our manager on the side lines he seemed to be in a world of his own. So im afraid to say it will be the same next season and the one after that if we dont get any passion at the top.

First of all well done to the boys for getting to the Play Off's. Let's not forget that apart from Derby having a freaky season the 3 teams that came down have finished in the top 4, we just were not consistent enough to be in the top two.

Good Luck to them I honestly think we've got a great chance of going up.

One Negative Point (Only 1 I hear you say!!) Think the Duke may have decided to pull his finger out because Wigan look odd's on to come down, so the baggies may be his only route back into premiership.

I have supported Albion for 12 years of my 15 year life, and had a season ticket for the past five. And how do they repay us? With a performance like that. Please can someone tell me what Chaplow brings to the team? Everytime he got the ball he gave it away within 10 seconds. Yes, we were unlucky with the sending off, but we still should not have lost that game.
When we got promoted in 01-02 and 03-04, we did not play fancy football. We did not have players who thought they were bigger than the club. We had players like Derek McInnes and Larus Siggurdson who gave 110% every week and played with their heart on their sleeve. I didn't see a glimpse of that grit or guile from most of team tonight.
If we are "fortunate" enough to get in the playoffs, God help the players when they play against quality oppostion, unlike a struggling tem like Burnley.
It is typical of Albion to throw away a 2-0 lead. It takes a special king of #$%$ to do that.

So flying 'em to work doesn't produce a win. Maybe they should walk to a few away games. It would reduce the excess weight of some and wake up those who wander about in a dream.

Away matches are exposing those who shouldn't be at the Hawthorns for too long in 2007. It'll take a good salesman to get rid of some of the bad buys.

If we aren't careful we'll end up on the coaching staff...I'd negotiate on the basis of free season tickets and travel.

I listened to the whole match on Sat (til 2am local time) and Morrisson who I hadn't heard much about seems a good attacking minded midfielder, much like Gera; Who performed admirably.

I think he will rotate the squad I doubt he will stick with the same 4. I hope Gera stays on for a couple more games so that he decides to sign the new contract. If I made 1 change I would rotate Greening and T-Rex for the next match.

    We got the top spot!
We now need a proper general at the back to marshall our defence.
Can we afford a "Sol Campbell"?
I think that we CANNOT afford not to buy such a motivator.
I can now eat my my words about Mowbray.
I didn't think much of him. Now I sincerely apologise to the man.
He seems a man of concepts and should be one of the great Albion managers.
