Portsmouth Message Board
is this round 12 you're talkin about? Coz i have no trouble with that one, but in round 13 there has been already 2 matches and it involves 2 players for me (Rodri and Antunes) and it doesn't show any points for them... idk
Don't forget you glory boys are still 7 points behind and reliant on an ageing Arsenal reject to get results.
I was happy for Man U. I think it nice for Moyes to finally pull level with Everton. On the back of yesterday and the failings of City I think there is a real chance Man U will be able to finish in the top 4 provided RVP stays healthy. I do think they can forget winning the CL or the PL based on yesterday's performance which I understand Moyes labeled as their best.
What does ICJ make of the below list of Europe's elite top 23 performers for 2013?
For some weird reasons, I can't seem to find Rooney's name on the list whilst Mesut Ozil was included. I wonder why, ICJ ?
FIFA Ballon d'Or 2013 longlist:

The following is a copy and paste job, just how Gunner likes them ....
"But one puzzle remains. While Young may have fallen under minimal contact, there is no doubt that Sociedad midfielder Markel Bergara tugged at his arm. It wasn’t much but it wasn’t intended to be.
Bergara, like Young, was sneaky. He wanted to do just enough to unfairly interfere with his opponent’s attacking run, but not enough to draw the referee’s attention and give away a foul. So, if Young is a cheat, why isn’t Bergara, too?
It is very strange, this double standard. The onus is on the forward to abide by a strict moral code, yet a defender can seek any advantage in the name of professionalism.
So we know what Young is up to, but we also know why he is up to it. The fact remains, however, that in Spain he wouldn’t have been up to anything at all were it not for Bergara’s intervention. Young may be a cheat, but so was his opponent. And looking at the number of times Bergara has been caught, he’s not a very smart one, either. Where’s his cover story?"
"Michael Owen has an interesting take on diving. He recalls that having ridden a foul when playing for England - he was impeded but stayed on his feet - he was furious that referee Pierluigi Collina waved play on and did not give a penalty.
Collina later explained to him that had he fallen it would have been awarded. Collina felt he could not give a penalty if a player continued his run; Owen says he never made that mistake again. Fouled, he went over."
Mr Other John....
I stand corrected....you appear to know Mr MCM much better than I do....
...but if Mr MCM posts as an Arsenal supporter....who spends most of his time abusing Man U supporters...
...then posts as "Gunner"....an Arsenal supporter who is not very subtly putting Arsenal down....I'd say that's a concern troll....with a complicated, conflicted psyche....which will probably implode at some point....much like Mr Dodge....who is apparently unable to remember his primary identity....
...I don't think I ever said you were a troll, Mr Other John... I will admit to thinking...and having said...that you were a clone of Mr Grumpy John...and I felt I had to defend him...God knows why....:(
...as for your butt...I'm sure it's very nice as it is and I'll not try to interfere with that in any way...
...besides....my fella would get aggravated...

You say we were "very lucky to beat Spurs, who were by far the better team" yet, the proof that man u was the better team in the game against Arsenal was the fact they scored more goals? You think you broke up our pretty passing game yet only had 41% possession? What did you do with the ball after you broke up our play? We had more of the ball against you than against our other opponents this year combined on average. You had 2 shots on target like we did and managed to convert 1 yet we managed 10 shots versus your 5 but some how you were clearly the better team against us as was Spurs who we beat without much problems?
I think you have too much time on your hands but not enough clarity or objectivity.
The one thing we can agree on is that the PL champion won't be known until the end of the season and that some times the better team loses, we don't agree on when that is and who that team is. Could that have anything to do with your biased?
I have had no problem recognizing Arsenal's short comings over the last 8 years and I have been honest in recognizing we where not a great team and had little chance to compete for the PL and as such demonstrated I am not a fan who is blind to my teams short comings, are you confident you can say the same? Or are you just happy to jump at every small opportunity to try to bend reality to your interpretation of it?
It would have served you well in terms of credibility to just admit that Arsenal have had a better season thus far than you expected to suggest otherwise is foolish. The trophies get handed out at the end of the season but respect is earned during the year, I for one am not naive enough to think we will win the PL, although we might, but I am realistic enough to realise we are closer at the moment that we have been for a long time and so is Liverpool and I am happy for them as I am for Arsenal fans and I could not care less if we don't win the PL because for the first time in years we are serious.
