Apparently so will the McLaren guys!!
Still I don't think any "top" team would want the grief of Alonso. Renault, with no really top drivers would probably be his best choice. Ferrari would almost do it just to get up Ron's nose but in reality probably wouldn't becouse of Kimi.
An A1 race at the begining of the season, for charity, would be an interesting eye opener though. -

Great guys! At last some reasoned comment on one of F1's biggest bugbears - it is 'nationalised' and 'footballised'. I find that insults my intelligence because it's assumed that I watch only to see a particular victor. When I expressed this view recently I received a very well argued reply to the effect that this is what the majority want therefore I had to accept it. Well ... I don't! A recent writer very intelligently stated that the key thing in sport is 'To compete and do one's best', Hallelujah! to that. I've no time for the ultra-nationalistic, jingoistic, xenophobic gutter press attitude (sometimes reflected in posts here) which actually undermine the sport's credibilty . Let's watch to admire the endeavour of all and to celebrate the success of the victor - whoever that may be.

Like Dobria, I speak several languages, than I am Italian and live in florida.
So I have to go and look on the internet for different articles/opinion inside web sites and Message boards/Forums.
Unfortunately the result is always the same. Fans and press are all very nationalistic and only few can see the difference between things without escalating in offensive and useless racial comments.
I have been following Formula 1 since Lauda use to drive a 312 T2 and Tyrrell had 6 wheels. This sport has changed a lot, but some people never change.
On Yahoo Spain Message board, everybody thinks that Alonso is God and British is evil. On Yahoo France they don't care much about what is going on right now other than they would love to have Alonso back to Renault (of course there's no french driver around). Inside Yahoo Italy I have been very unpopular when I was highlighting that Shumacher was NOT the most correct driver in the world and that I think he won most of his races with the best car available and helped by the best strategist in the world (Ross Brown). ( thats why now Massa thinks he also can win).
Can Anybody tell me why can't people be Objective???????
Thank you -

Who cares! Alonso has said today that he does not want an extra steward in the garage this weekend, bulls**t; he started this nonsense, why did he not speak up when the FIA made the announcement in the first place?
Get rid of the "Dago" element, all they are good for is cheating and whinging!
Now, who's gonna call me a racist for saying what a lot of F1 fans are thinking!
Max and Bernie, for f**k sake, resign! Give us our sport back so it can be cleaned up again; you have made enough of a mess... -

I agree with your coment about Colin, he would have been a guiding hand to lead the sport forward, it's a shame the world lost him so tragically.
How about someone from Moto GP? -

Of course there was no team colusion at the start of the Brazilian GP with Massa and Raikonnen!!!! It would have been a better result for Kimi if Hamilton had better reliability. I'm pleased he won but would have felt happier if it was on driving skill.

Hamilton 109 points, Alonso 109 points = Mclaren 218 points. -

Did anyone else hear that Alonso actually "Blackmailed" Mclaren? From what I understood He said he would go to the FIA with all the information in the spy case unless he was (Alonso) was made the #1 driver on the team. What an #$%$! IF this is true the soap opera isn't over yet! I'm NOT a Alonso fan at all, infact I can't stand the guy. He would be out on his ear and blacklisted in a heartbeat! I can't believe both him and Hamilton were given immunity in the case in the first place!
Alonso should be stripped of his points AND his licence! -

I just read this. What a joke F1 has turned out to be this season. It seems that every single race there are doubts placed on whether or not one racer or another will be stripped of points.
There is no way the F1A will allow Hamilton to win the world championship this way, even if they do find irregularities of the two drivers concerned in breach of the regulations, because it would just make F1 a complete farce this season. -

The results of the race should stand. It would have been nice to see Lewis win the championship in his first year, But NOT LIKE THIS. Even lewis would agree win it on the track not off it.

Really it is an insult to put Hamilton in the company of any other black athletes. Tiger Woods had to over come adversity to break into Golf, where as Hamilton was in dealings with McLaren when he was 10?
Also there is the whole McLaren are huge cheaters deal, I don't know why the UK media declares that Hamilton will be so great, he very well could go to never win any championships after this "great" season and having lost this one (anyone remember JV? haha) -

'Fair and Square' you say? Is using chilled fuel fair and square - no it's not. He finished 7th because his car stopped working for a while - and three of the cars ahead of him were fuelled illegally.
If this appeal followed the USA (or any other mid-season race) no-one would care.
Let's see what the FIA have to say - but if the BMW and Williams cars were illegail - they should be punished... -
