I`m not so sure that Newcastle aren`t in deeper shyte than the Boro.Allegedly 15 "players" sorry that should be overpaid tw@ts on our books are on £50k a week plus.Assuming they want to leave to further their careers, who the f*ck is gonna sign them, none of them are good enough to be offered that kind of money elsewhere except maybe Sebastion Bassong.Apart from that Newcastle didn`t allegedly have the sense to agree reduction clauses in the event of relegation with many of them. You can bet none of them would accept a voluntary wage cut,so unless my maths are badly wrong our wage bill could be higher than our turnover next year. The only blessing is that the little scrote Owen and the fat Aussie cripple are out of contract which will save us close to £10 million a year and I doubt if we`ll even notice they`re gone....................Happy days are here again ! Scunthorpe here we come !

How quick the people forget about tires in europe when we fans in the USA saw a farce at Indianapolis. Now the tire talk just is a minor problem....yet Michelin couldn't wait to back away from INDY....I pulled my Michelin tires. They must be unsafe for my Jeep. Never forget the past.

I an m not sure about paying anyone, but, for sure we will now be seeing ferrari leading the procession once again, anyone with bridgestone tyes is now happy. It was the same when they introduced refuelling, it was all done because the ever thirsty ferrari could not last the race, remember when they were always running out of fuel, easy solution, change the rules to suit the prancing horse. I think Paul Stoddard should be FIA president, I think he has a bit more experience about costs than mosley ever will.

There needs to be a "Real Race" with the Best of the Best. I periodally follow F-1 but I got to think that the NASCAR got it over F-1. I mean look at the Car themselves. 192 mph in a car that handles like a brick has got to be harder. The Best driver in the world today Drives NASCAR...Tony Stewart. He has said he would take a F1 ride (when they were here in the States) and give the field a run for their money. Also I've never seen Micheal S. win a IROC race here?
Thoughts? I always wondered what F1 fans thought.

    Just another Yank causing Trobule.

What is the difference. You've obviously had a parking ticket so you've broke the rules, therefore I find your actions as guilty, if not worst that Schumis and you should be banned from the road for a year minimum.

Which driver has been involved in controversies from the FIRST (of SEVEN, since you like making that point) of his championships? Which driver has admitted, and been penalised, for CHEATING. Please prove that none of his "titles" have never been tainted by the actions of himself or his team over the years, and I mean EVERY year he won the title. Show me ONE year where M$ and his team were NOT involved in some controversy, but got away with it.

If you look at various things that have happened, there has not been a single WDC-winning year when M$ or the team he was driving with did NOT do something which was in breach of the Technical or Sporting regulations. That is cheating, no matter how you look at it. No other driver and team has been involved in so many controversies as M$ and the teams he has been with in the history of F1. No other driver and team has had so many titles "questioned" because of their tactics and "definition of the rules". No other driver has gotten away with deliberately causing an incident in the way that one certain driver has. Ask Rubens, he was put on the grass at Indy so he wouldn't be able to pass Michael. Anyone else would have been penalised for that. And, as I say, we'll leave the "illegal team orders" out of this. Poor Massa, spending the rest of his short F1 career as a lapdog being told how to drive so he makes his teammate look good. That is illegal, by the way, please check the Sporting Regulations if you are not sure. But it's Michael, so it's ok, in your view.

This time he was caught, get used to it.

No..they didn't place him in the pit lane but it would have been pretty irresponsible if he did NOT try to do whatever he could to help his team after the biased and blatantly pro-Alonso decision which was made or at least greatly influenced by a SPANIARD........
As for your knowledge of this sport ...anyone who believes that it would be GOOD for Schuhmacher to retire...obviously knows VERY LITTLE about it.
There never was, nor will there ever be, a driver like Michael Schuhmacher...and whatever you may feel about him as a person (which, by the way, can only be a judgement based on what you read or hear from others, or interpret from whatever channel you happen to be watching...since you obviously DON'T know him personally...)to deny his talent and what he has done for the sport is simply STUPID....and basically shows prejudice and ignorance !!!

i agree. i feel this is f1 trying to balance the odds in hopes of creating a run for the championship. a true f1 fan knows most drivers are only as good as the cars they sit in, case in point: alonso. schumacher is a rare breed and if put in equal cars he could beat anyone on any givin day.

Yeah, like I suppose it was the FIA or Ferrari who MADE Alonso choose to change tyres today, and it was probably them who organised that Alonso's mechanics messed up his pitstop as well. And to make matters worse, it was probably the FIA and Ferrari who stopped the rain to take away Michael's disadvantage on Bridgestones today too!!! To help Alonso a little and not make it seem so obvious, they at least made Fisi pull over for him not to be behind Michael on points.....

Get real, Michael is the best there ever was or will be. Alsonso was so sour that he could not even congratulate Michael after the race. THAT'S how much of a sportsman HE is!!!

Alonso's problem is he is so focussed on Michael that he loses sight of what he is meant to be doing - racing!! He even has a picture of MS on his door, he is so obsessed with his nemesis...

I bet Alonso's race engineer is feeling like a proper charlie after his remark after qualifying about "poor old Michael" only being in 6th position. He's eating his words now...

And Fernando is probably as worried as hell about his untimely decision to switch to McLaren. With Kimi not having finished in 3 of the last 4 races, FA must realise that his chances of winning the championship next year are so to say zero. If I were Ron Dennis, I'd be regretting my decision to hire the pipsqueak. Kimi has made the right move to the winning team and Alonso was not even CONSIDERED by Ferrari! What a blow to his self-steem, if he has any left.

Nope, I think it's time the little cry-baby went home to mama and took a few lessons from his countrymen in Pamplona - if he wants to run with the bulls, he better realise that he's gonna get trampled sometime.

what happened today was only bad luck. Everybody can have a bit of it sometimes.
If you didn't knew, Fernando congratulated Michael after the race, Not like Michael after his pole position in the same race, he runed away as if he was scared of him.
Something else, Fernando once said that Ferrari showed some interest on him, but the team didn't said much more and he went to Mclaren that for your information are preparing the next year's car since a really long time - not like the other teams -. Fernando said that the real challenge is to be world champion winning with an other team than Ferrari, and he's right because ferrari cheats and everybody knows but nobody does anything.
And don't say that Alonso is a cry-baby and he should go to Pamplona to take lessons with the bulls, that's an insult to spain, and for your information, in spain we have other things than bulls and flamenco. i'm spanish and I hate bulls because i believe it's cruelty to animals, and I felt myself offended with your post. Now i don't think i will reply more your messages i will just ignore them, so, please don't waste your time replying mine.

    Seems like you`re 100% correct, Reden90210.

I just found this at www.eurosport.com

"Alonso finished second in China after two tyre blunders left him behind his rival Michael Schumacher and saw his two-point championship lead wiped out.

And afterwards, his comments to a Spanish TV station led to suggestions that the mistakes of fitting an unsuitable set of front tyres, and then cross-threading a wheel-nut, could have been deliberate.

Alonso told Telecino: "The team are all disappointed, apart from those who don't want to the number one to go to McLaren (when he joins them next year)."

Personaly, I dont think that a part of the Renaul crew doesnt want him to win the title... I think that some Ferrari personel, infiltrated into Renaul`s pitstop crew stealing their uniforms and did the "sabotage work" :P

He should have blamed Ferrari, FIA, Schumacher as always... I never thought he would come to the point of accusing his own team.

yes i remember some of his tough antics on the track against other drivers but his team mate was never a slave, senna beat his opponents on the track and not by a contract of #1 and #2.
he does deserve his critics as he now stated he regrets some of his carear low points.
his cheating antics will stick with the people who watched his results as he was in the right car at the right times i think there are better world champions who have won less races and yet never be thought of as a cheat as some people drive with morals.

Remembering the man called, MIKHIAL "CHEATING JERMAN" SHOEMAKER, makes my blood boil, to say the least. I'm an avid fomula one fan, and in recent years I started hating the sport, just because of one man and his band of mix european crooks, all in one italian spaggetti bowl decides it time to dupe the world........WHAT?. How can a great sport become so useless to it's fans just because of one driver's autocratic, lying, deceitful, legal driving acts and yet Ecculs, and his band of merry men i.e Max the Bros were racking in the wads with us all watching and paying for the comfort for getting rob all this years, in name of a brilliant sport we all love so much (I eat, shit, sleep F1, just to "fess up" a little) like there is no tomorrow. So domineering and stupid is this ass that I could not bear to watch my fav. sport, My God answered prayers and move him on, so I can now embrace my screen once again like a new lover, just met. This idiot is always the first to defend, his cheating acts and throw a fit when caught (you all recollet his under bridge Monaco Crash some years back, and he had the guts to blamed it on someone else, WHY?). Hmmmmmm ......Now that I can watch my favourite sport once again, and I pray to watch again and again, we can see the much efforts other real drivers have been contributing to the sport all years. That ass was scared of drivers who could take him on, i.e Vill the Eel, Montoya the MadPriest of F1, Kimi the IceMan of F1 , DC the Red Bull Brit, and Alonso the TrackCruzer. All the mentioned, are drivers who are ready to die on track, as gladiators of the sport not my JERMAN SHOEMAKER of Ferarara who is too worried about how many silvers he rakes in his pockets with holes, I beleive he is missing is former play ground Praise da Lord, and I say 5 AMEN to accompany. Left in the cold........with no where to go but to come back, as some crazy super brov advising ferarara how to continue cheating, the guy wont stay away, years of using earplugs eh!!!!!
I pray some american greenpaper donor, would one day waste his investment by trying my Jerman Shoemaker, on an INDY race track lets see how he will cheat under Indy driving regulations. Moverover the tracks are Oval, so he want take along a sickbag tied to his helmet.

A sad day for F1 seeing Micheal behind a F1 car for the final time in his career, but at least he got the chance to show his amazing talent, what a drive that was.

I know Micheal has his flaws and have been known to lets be honest here and call it what it really is 'cheat' to win - but this to me makes him more interesting, I always wanted #$%$ Dastardly to win Wacky Races because he was the most interesting. I feel the same way about Micheal too. I've not warmed to Alonso at all there is no denying he's a great driver, but for me he's plays the pencentages to much, he's not a true racer like Micheal who wants to win or finish as high as he can every race.

So bye Micheal and thanks for the memories.

Yes he was one of them too (I can't believe I forgot him >>) He has his own statue outside Mallenaro, the only Ferrari driver with this honnor.

He one of was the 'hobby' racers, out there not because of the money but because of the thrill (like Jim Clark, Sir Stirling Moss, Mario Andretti, etc). He was also one of the last honest drivers. It's a shame to think that he was killed because a stupid team-mate wouldn't keep to their agreement.
