Everton Message Board
"...Mr Gunner is a "concern troll"....and he's very clever...ergo.... he can't possibly be Mr Slayer..:)."
Ms Sweetness, to clear a couple of things up ... Mr 1999 is indeed one and the same 'Gunner', after eight years on here with the same terrible English, spread over hundreds of IDs, he is quite incapable of hiding .... 101%, take it from me.
As to my name, 'John', it is the one Yahoo deems to call me, on account of that being the name I signed on with, it is not, and, indeed, never was, intended as a clone of the erstwhile 'Gooner John', nor am I a 'troll' in the true sense of the word.
I hope this clears things up, as I am rather fond of my #$%$ and have no desire to be ripped a new one by you, as you have so generously undertaken for Messrs Dodge, Pixie and Geordiefool.
There is a way to prioritise them, the higher up they are he most priority is put on them. If they are playing then they are put in, if not then the next player down is put in.
I don't know what all the fuss is about.
At least we didn't lose to Newcastle at home.
We didn't lose to Sunderland, who sit second from bottom.
We didn't have to cheat to get a penalty for a draw against the baggies.
We are still two points clear at the top.
We play Southampton at home next. That's the focus.
Are they the threat some believe them to be, or are they just pretenders?
They won at Anfield, got a draw at Old Trafford, but then they get a draw at The Britannia and lose at home to Sunderland.
It isn't a question of we should or we need to win. This is a must win.
Mr Fabongrasss....(I hope I've spelled that right)...;)
...while I may not admire your foul mouth...your goading of posters not currently posting... your apparent lack of logic, reality and your original account....your tolling behaviours here and on the Man U board...
..and while I may feel sympathy for you on account of your "little man syndrome"...your gender confusion....and your obsessional fanaticism which prevents you from seeing beyond Mr Wenger's blazer......
...I have to say that I do admire your thick skin...and your ability to either ignore....or to respond with nonsensical and infantile insults to....discussion, dissent, criticism, the pointing out of your self contradictions, outright lies and made up stuff...
...and last but not least...I admire your unfailing optimism...and your "ability" to turn a defeat into a great victory...:)
...almost forgot....I'm so glad you've gotten over your weak bladder difficulties....I've always urged you to see your GP about that...:)
....or is it that you're just not finding much to laugh about these days....?
Unfortunately we don't agree on Moses, as I think he could grow into quite a decent player. I always rated him at Wigan, and he had a super season under Rafa last year, obviously never going to get game time wide vs Hazard, Schurrle, Mata, Oscar, Ramires, de Bruyne etc., but Chelsea did spend about 8-9M on him, and they typically don't buy bad players, maybe just excessive fees. His first start at Liberty, he scored and caused Swans nightmares, and was our only good player beside Skrtel in that horrible home defeat to Soton.. But, to each his own, and yes we can upgrade, but at what cost?
I think Lucas is average these days, and since torn ACL is something we see here week in and out in NFL, a lot of players never come back the same, and he was good, not great, prior to it, and just not at that level now. I think eventually either Stevie, who can crush in the tackle, or Jordan could earn that spot, and we do need to see what Allen can do, whether lying deep, or advanced.
Alberto is really the one who needs game time for us, even if it's a little out wide, or dropping deeper, because he was fantastic for Barca B, and Sevilla really didn't want to lose him. I saw enough to think he has that "it" factor, whereas some of our players don't...
It's weird because I wanted us to focus strictly on league and top 4 this year without the headache of Europa, but at the same time, it is hindering us with many players - Sterling, Ibe, Alberto, Ilori, Kelly, Allen, Borini and some youth in Yesil, Texeira.. hope we can loan them out, and add 2-3 quality starters. Capel seems the hot name as far as RW coming in..

"One of those was a League Cup game, in which we played 5 fringe/reserve players."
More excuses, John? You have lost three of your last six games, that's all I said.
"everyone, including you"
I made my first post for a very long time on Sunday, so made no remarks about Arsenal until after the United game.
"You have lost against WBA and got thrashed by City as well as got beaten by Liverpool."
That's correct, and you've not seen a single excuse from me, or, as far as I can see, any other United supporter, whereas certain posters on here are already claiming the treble for Arsenal.
"I don't think Utd are exactly flying and they certainly had the worse start."
That's right, a tough start against top teams, unlike Arsenal, and a new manager, the worse start for many years, now we are unbeaten in nine games, unlike Arsenal.
Gillian has shown many times that he doesn't have a clue when it comes to Arsenal, he keeps harking back to the days of the Highbury North bank as a kid, the last time he saw them play, now he's penniless in the US, and can only dream about the Emirates.
Ah ha got there in front of you for a change ;o)
That doesn't sound like enough to sack someone. We lose targets all the time. Most clubs do with say 2-3 clubs getting almost everyone. They being the two Spanish giants and Bayern. Everyone scraps for it.
To me it sounds like there's something not happening to plan or they want a change for some reason. That surprises me as I though Rodgers had aligned the youth system with first team affairs and McParland was happy with it.
It's a strange one.
Own by a Geordie!! That just made my Friday, I gotta tell you. It was a job getting a cuppa down, between laughing myself silly reading 'Tales from Borneo Butch'. You don't suppose he interacted with them, do you??? Wouldn't surprise me,. He has been known to pull it out at a drop of the 'hat' so to speak. Bali Beach for example......but I think he's in unknown territory with 'jungle man'. Would be a tough call even for a Porn Queen like Rikki, dropping his skiddy's for one of them.
"and who were these Main Men"????????
Adams, Henri, Fabregas, Viera, Pires, Keown, Seamen, Bergkamp, and Parlour, for a start, plus the two mentioned. Does that answer your question? Good!. Now then, who's next? You there, you in the back row, looking like a Orang ----Utan in dark glasses. Oh! sorry. You're blind.
LMFAO @Orangubutch!!! (great name BTW)
Tormented to the point where he's snapped in the head again and ended up posting geordie themed threads all weekend long!!!
FFS dude, talk about having NO LIFE!!!
No wonder everyone laughs at you Rikki, you really are the saddest wally of all to have ever graced these Yahoo message boards!
Tempting to dump Remy for Negredo h) Swans eh? hmmm... those Davies boys look risky v 'pool & City, out they go for Rat h) Fulham & R Bennett h) Palace (surely mispriced @5.37???) That leaves just enough wedge to upgrade bench-warmers Paulinho to Theo (another who looks mispriced @13.32?) and Steven Reid to Billy Jones.
No idea of formation or cap yet... and might even go for Negredo over Remy, undecided.
Suarez a) Hull.......................Remy or Negredo h)WBA/Swans....................Kun h) Swans
Coutinho a) Hull..............Oscar h) Saints................2 from Ozil/Ramsey/Walcott a) Cardiff
Rat h) Fulham...................................Ward a) Norwich.............................Debuchy h) WBA
.......................................................Guzan h) Sunderland......................................................
B1 : 1 from Ozil/Ramsey/Walcott a) Cardiff
B2 : Ryan Bennett h) Palace
B3 : Billy Jones a) Newcastle
B4 : Boruc a) Chelsea
When I say 'no idea of formation' of course I meant no idea of bench (gooner) selection or Remy/Negredo, it will be 3-4-3 for sure.
I agree with pretty much all of that except the extent of the language (I don't think you could fairly describe Gerrard as 'hopeless') :-).
We have struggled with two things consistently this season - high balls into the box (last season as well) and in midfield when pressed. It's difficult to be too critical of the management team but I don't understand how we have remained so bad with at least the former of those two - surely we now have the personnel and so it can only be down to coaching.
I'm still hoping that Lucas can get back to where he was before his injury but it's taking a long while. SG & Lucas together in centre mid isn't working against teams who press. Surely an area to invest in come the winter. In the meantime, I'd prefer to see a Henderson & Lucas in those types of games with SG playing either at the point of the triangle or wide right of a three behind one up top.
That said it was a fantastic game of footy. For me 3-3 was a fair result - Everton shaded the game and showed why they haven't lost at home in the league this year, but they should have been 2-1 and a man down.
The next three games now take on a huge significance. All winnable although it seldom works out that way. 7 points out of 9 should keep us in contention for the top four going into a tough Christmas period.
Rafael = a liability and an accident in waiting.
Vidic = AGING and past it at this level.
Kagawa = Not fit to lace Diaby's boot. Moyes obviously doesn't rate him that much hence all the nonsense talks of his return to Dortmund.
RVP = Wenger-made, the ONLY notable absence in your list.
Jones = jack of all trades, master of none. Come back when Jones knows what position he's good at, haha Rikk!
Carrick = too slow and would struggle to make the sub bench at ANY of the TOP 4 sides.
