Manchester United Message Board
If this is the case, then Maureen was dumb not to include it.
Even so, not unlike us, Everton could suffer if their only striker is injured.
Everton's squad is even thinner than ours.....and ours is very thin up front.
Everton were the most difficult side I have seen Arsenal play so far this season, great passing game and they did indeed look as though they were the home side for the majority of the first half,Arsenal came good at the end of the half and finished with more shots on target than the visitors. I though our defence held steady against a real bashing.
Second half Arsenal were the better side for me, especially after the triple substitution. A draw was about right. Everton certainly didn't 'deserve' the win but i'll grant they played well enough for the point. Still gutted the lads didn't manage to see the game out after a wonderfully worked Ozil goal.
No shame in ManU and Chelsea losing to Everton!?!?! After the tens of millions they have spent building their squads!?!?!

I don't REALLY see the problem. To be competitive you have to select Suarez as captain - so pick Suarez as captain. It's always been thus; three years ago, if you didn't have Ronaldo, you were toast, six years ago it was Henry. What you suggest would simply ensure that Yahoo screwed it up at the first available opportunity. The more complex the rules, the less likely the one man and his hamster who run YFF will get it right.
He's done well from that, hasn't he....?
....he fought and suffered for something meaningful that he believed in...He lived and learned and matured and grew and became an icon...his life and death acknowledged in media coverage for days on end...
...okay...I agree the BBC went over the top....but I tell you what I just can't wait for.....:)
...you and "Eddy" having a debate on Nelson Mandela..."Eddy" is a true supporter...this should be interesting....bet it don't happen...;)
It's true Rikk...
...you must be careful of Facebook...even if you don't have an account...might Drummer have been cloned after all...?....I do recall him saying that his avatar had ben cloned by a troll on Misc once....
Twitter is even worse...
...hehehe.....lol @ #EddyLennyKipperRoyJack
...love from Julia....xxx
Finally figured out how to get back on here!
Great performance all round. My only concern was with Glenda as Jason puts it, he seems to give the ball away far too often. Allen played his best game, Hendo is a machine... the man just can't stop running (take note Slur Alex).
I wouldn't go as far as saying Gerrard is surplus to requirements, however I believe we should use him less, now that we have younger players in the midfield that are vibrant and hold an abundance of energy.
The best game we've played by a distance.
Looks like it's me and you on here for the duration, Andy. When I say only Yeovil, mate, I meant they are bottom and have scored a mere 9 goals in 14 games---they're heading back to play us again. You guys are lying (handy, Andy.)
Pools have been in total freefall until a few weeks back and most of us could see non league looming. But now they've started fighting back so it's fingers crossed..
And Roy's wallpapering skills are shyte.
Dear Mr Dodge...
...I can see perfectly well....and I can see that you haven't quite got the hang of "quoting"....
...I typed "who were these main men?"...not...and I quote...""and who were these Main Men"????????"...a small point I know...and one which we can put down to your compulsion for hyperbole, embellishing on the truth and outright fabrication...
...I can also count....that makes 11 "main men"...sheeese...I admire them just for turning up...what with all those "main men" missing....
....then there's the question of your vision...which seems to be quite extraordinary...you constantly claim you know the physical attributes of people you have never met or seen...are you psychic....do you see dead people too...?....spoooooky... ;(
...fyi...I look much like my profile pic...except I'm not green and I don't have wings....and I make no ridiculous claims to know anything about your appearance...
....for all I know...you could look like a perfectly normal person...a lot of psychotics do....;)
John is his own person I'm sure. If he wants to look at any other board he will and does not require instructions on who to like, who to hate, when to laugh, when to be indignant, when to frown, when to be amused, when to get angry who to speak with and who to ignore.
If I have missed any other instructions that you feel people should obey, then sorry, but you get my drift I'm sure.
Oooh, you are so needy and the surliest person I have ever met! Tsk tsk!
There was no doubt in my mind that the best team won and it had nothing to do with us being tired. That didn't start to figure into the equation until the 75-80 minute when we had been the lesser team for the first 75 minutes.
City have the better squad, possibly best in the PL or 2nd to Chelsea.
Walcott is back.
Giroud is not good enough. (has he only scored 1 goal on the road?)
We seem to have lost our form a little.
Bendtners's goal was not offside.
We were denied a clear penalty.
Kos looks badly injured, looked like a torn ligament.
Chelsea game next and now a real big game.
Can we rediscover our form, in time?
Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng admitted: "They're the toughest opponents we could have had. They'll be totally up for it after what happened last year. Both matches will be very intense."
Hey 'virus-mad Rikki, take note son!
I'm not sure that the fans are/were anything but behind HIM (in general), but fans sing when (what) they want, when they want. They tend to try to lift the team when they're down and sing from 'joy' when winning. The problem with Spurs is that we're doing 'well' in way of points and places - so there's no singing required to lift the team to win per se - and the football just isn't (IMHO) of a style to get them singing from joy - a no man's land. So it's a two way street - if AVB wants the fans to sing, then the style has to give them something to sing about. Be amusing to hear what songs are sung tonight.
Irrespective of what some pundits think, football as a spectator sport IS about entertainment - the players are paid like film stars. It's only the clubs who make money out of the punters who want to keep the '....its not about entertainment....its about loyalty....its in the blood....' bit alive - at it's in their interest. If George Clooney turned out boring performance after boring performance, would theatres still be packed with people watching and believing the Studio line of '.....its not about entertainment....its about loyalty... George is an icon...he's in your blood....'. Football for years has relied upon the Emperors new clothes stopping the fans from seeing that what they're presented with 50% of the time is absolute dross.
The last paragraph was tongue in cheek - but I take my lead from Danny Blanchflower:
"The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It’s nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It is about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom.”
...and remind me again what our motto is: Audere est Facere? - which if my schoolboy latin doesn't fail me means Audi's are made...
Rikky...Mandela was the Commander in Chief of the MK which carried out dozens of terrorist attacks, which left both military and civilians dead. Doesn't his being the CIC makes him as responsible as those pulling the trigger. Did the ends justify the means? ...Now I've answered you, Id be interested in Sweetys views too ...If she has any.
Follow The Leader Fashion
Here we go again, the magnets come out to find any guy who speaks broken English because it's the fashion. Get back to reality, Spurs. When Arry stops chuckling he'll have a tear in his eye. An Arry and Hoddle combination could be a gamble but a home grown one. It would be a brave move by Levy but would certainly get you guys talking and smiling.
Christ! You're not kidding Eddy. Can't imagine if it had been in the last minute and we needed it!!!!! I might have had him shot. But then again, its easy for us to talk, but he WAS so far off side and that linesman should have flagged. BTW did Ozil touch it? I still cant see it, but the ball did change direction.
