I watched the Liverpool v Chelsea game at the pub. When the sign for six added minutes came up there was a roar of disbelief around the bar. Then the goal was scored after the six minutes had been played.

All Liverpool signings to be decided by committee
by LFC_Armchair_Supporter Apr 21, 2013 14:04To be fair to the previous management regime, if you listen to DC describe how that particular deal came about then you'll know that the transfers back then were also being decided by committee.

We actually played some football yesterday, any comments?
by dsteer_lfc_68 Apr 22, 2013 16:09Fine to disagree, but are you saying refs don't add on 30 seconds for subs or goals, that the time Hazard took without needing a stretcher was less, or that the penalty did not take that long?
I'm just wondering how much extra time you think there should have been, and how you'd get to that number despite the actual stoppages I've pointed out. - Reply to
All Liverpool signings to be decided by committee
by LFC_Armchair_Supporter Apr 21, 2013 14:04I can understand not wanting to blow £35m on another average player.. thats obvious.their was a few great players around for the same money at the time.. no need to waste it.. so I'll be curious as to what happens.. One thing's for sure they can't blame Rodgers if they screw it up if they go for a player who ends up being #$%$

13 pts between me and a top 3 finish, the task is like Liverpool getting into top 5! But never give up, here we go:
Man City v West Ham 2-0
Everton v Fulham 2-0
Southampton v West Brom 2-1
Stoke v Norwich 2-1
Wigan v Tottenham 0-3
Newcastle v Liverpool 1-3
Reading v QPR 2-2
Chelsea v Swansea 3-0
Arsenal v Man Utd 3-1
Aston Villa v Sunderland 1-1 -
My take on the ban is that it is quite reasonable. Ferdinand was banned for missing a drug test ( despite returning for it ) longer than people who failed the test were banned for. Suarez has been punished because he is a serial offender, a deliberate offender. He has bitten twice, racially abused, punched an opponent, intentionally handballed in the world cup, admitted diving, raked calves, stamped on at least two opponents this season. So what is the FA meant to do ? Wait till he snaps an opponents achilles ? His punishments should increase until he stops. Liverpool fans felt a ban until the end of this season suffice , but as you have nothing to play for now no one cares, so a punishment is supported as long as no one is punished. Liverpool, Suarez and the fans have been punished. Maybe the FA want you to pull the unlikable scrote into line ? Remember Chelsea fans booing Drogbas diving ? Suarez is a cheat, a great footballer, but a horrible individual from what i see of him. I think he wants out of Liverpool, i suspect thats why hes done this. He doesnt deserve your support. Other players dive, foul, cheat ,punch and bite. But only he does it all repeatedly, and all that in 3 years ? No i cant think why hes been punished.

DOH!
Old Fab missed out a zero in the original post.
The Net total over the last two seasons should read..
Arsenal - £8,950,000
ManU + £74,250,000
I thank you.
Much love! -
'Its all mine...MINE I TELL YOU!!!'
Words I can imagine Wenger telling the board when offered ANOTHER '£70M war chest' (Wenger couldn't go to war with Switzerland!)
So the figures are in, Fergie has amassed not just 1,460 trophies during his time as manager, but also £34m....WENGER however is only just behind him with a couple of undefended titles, a few Emirates cups, and £29 MILLION!!!
Now we KNOW why you dont buy anyone decent, because he wants to keep it all for HIMSELF!!!
A DECADE without a trophy, humbled by League TWO fodder, beaten at home by #$%$ Championship teams, beaten in cup FINALS by #$%$ Championship teams, YET WENGER is rewarded like he's the greatest manager to have graced the game!!!
CUCKOO!! CUCKOO!!!
You have to be a little nutty to not see a problem here! -
I hope it passes without controversy.

I think he is afraid to express his opinion on football matters. To some people disagreement or getting it wrong creates the perception of a shrinking identity so therefor it is safer to insult than to reason.

Sorry Fab forgot who I was exchanging with. I will try to refrain from using difficult words when replying to your "efforts?" for lack of a better word..

Wenger: 'United would have won without Van Persie'
by Whees I' The Netty? Apr 28, 2013 02:17I thought that statement was a bit thin by Wenger. Was it because he was trying to defuse potential tension at the Emirates for RVP or was it that he does not want to be seen as the manager who was dumb enough to sell the title to Man U?
One thing, seems obvious, if United had not bought RVP they would have bought an other top striker and probably won the title but what is wrong with realizing RVP was instrumental in winning the title for United?
When you are a feeder club you better hope your product performs, otherwise buyers won't come back and than Stan Kroenke will make less money. Until Arsenal is willing to pay the same salaries as City, Man U and Chelsea we (and all other PL teams) will remain a feeder club for those 3 teams. -
That's my fear as well.

You would say that, bitter old pixie.
What's it now 8 yrs & counting..dear..dear.
It's not as though Utd needed the points. -
So invincible..they then should have won the treble..like the Great Utd.
Dear dear..sad bitter pixie...hankie time. -
I quite like what I have seen of Remy, but I am convinced that Jordan Rhodes is the one for us. He will be quite a bit cheaper too! I think he is the closest thing to Shearer there is - that boy is deadly. Remy looks too mch like Sturridge to me and as Colin says, we need a different mix of strikers. Can you imagine a strike force of Suarez, Sturridge, Rhodes and Carroll (perhaps). That would have elements to satisfy all tastes.

Over the years I have been a critic of Ferdinand ,But I have to put my hands up and say that he has been a tower of strength for utd this season, he has looked after himself and has looked impressive.
His distribution has been impeccable as has his positional play, And he has shown great leadership qualities.
So its well done Rio from me. -
Strange - I didn't think he played that bad at all. The team in general seemed off - but we all see things differently don't we? He even seems to have got the top player rating here:

Good job we're not all the same and see things the same way eh? Wouldn't it be boring?
