'Africa has its Messi!' writes a journalist in Italy.....and Arsenal just sold him to Roma.
From The Guardian...
Roma top of Serie A, on a stunning winning streak, and with a reborn Gervinho being so breathlessly admired by the locals that a writer in Il Romanista swooned that "Africa has its Messi", Sabatini reflected on a move that owed everything to the connection between player and mentor. "I would not have signed Gervinho for any other coach," he said. "Garcia specifically requested Gervinho, a player he had worked with and won with before at Lille. Because of that request we worked to bring Gervinho in. It was not an easy negotiation process, either."
He is playing with the enthusiasm of a man who has returned to a happy place. Gervinho has not come home in a physical sense because Italian football is new to him. But he has come home in a footballing sense. He feels absolutely at ease with Garcia. He feels implicit trust, which has given him the freedom to play without any anxiety. "I knew exactly what I was looking for when I joined Roma: the chance to play more, a coach who showed faith in me and a club with high ambitions," Gervinho explained. So far, so good.
Wenger has often trotted out the maxim that confidence is the "hardest thing to gain and the easiest thing to lose" and the more he looked at Gervinho, the deeper he felt that particular problem. When Roma called, it felt like a reasonable solution for everybody. "He looked to play with a lack of confidence, especially at the Emirates," Wenger said. "He is a very creative player, an instinctive dribbler and for that you need a lot of confidence to be completely efficient. I felt that in the last six months it was very difficult for him to express his talent in a confident way. Then you sit there and think: 'Do I bring him back or does he need a new challenge to get that confidence back?' and I did not want to stop him from getting a new chance."
Ohhhh! And listen to piggy squeal, like he's being humped by AW. Come on piggy, lets hear you give us all a real laugh explaining what you know about Man Utd, football, Arsenal, or even knowing where you are at the moment. Probably sat in your one up, one down council house, combing your whippets for nits, wearing a cloth cap(that hasn't left your bald head for months) a woodbine #$%$, in tobacco stained fingers, and drinking Brown Ale, while eating pickled eggs.. How am I doing so far. Close, piggy?
Big...no scrap that. HUGE challenge tonight.
There are few better teams in the CL that can turn defence into attack as effectively as Dortmund can. You have to give Klopp credit for that.
We have however managed to turn over a result against Bayern, who are recognised as being better than Dortmund.
We have to control the midfield tonight and defend properly. Break up their play as much as possible, and do to them, what they did to us. Hit them on the break.
It is achievable, but it isn't going to be easy.
1 - 2 to us?
I guess that's the LUCK Man U needed to hang on to a famous DRAW against the mighty Cardiff..........hahahahaha!!!
Welcome back to the real world deluded Man U fans, the squad is AVERAGE and Cardiff DOMINATED play from the OFF with LION SHARE of POSSESSION.......... HAHAHA!!!

'he makes you look like an armature'
LMFAO - can you please explain how he makes me look like a rotating part of a dynamo?
Perhaps you mean amateur?
That's what you are, an amateur troll and a total loser!
Probably one of the bravest and most selfless people I have ever heard about!
An Iraqi policeman has been hailed a hero after throwing his arms around a suicide bomber to shield others from the blast.
The bomber struck in Khales, northeast of Baghdad, killing five people and wounding 10 on a Shia pilgrimage, a police colonel and a doctor said.
But the toll would almost certainly have been higher were it not for the officer's selfless actions, police said.
He has been named as 34-year-old married father-of-two Ayyub Khalaf
Now the need for a top CB is as necessary as the need to sign a world class striker, however I will focus this topic on the striker position henceforth.
Luis Suarez - signed a new contract, was always too rich for our blood and couldnt see why he would move when he is at a club on the same level to us.
Paul George Ntep is latest to be linked. Dont know much about him but he is the stereotypical wenger signing. If hes anything like sanogo we should give a wide berth.
Diego Costa - the inform madrid striker is certainly better than what we have, but why would he leave potential title hopefuls for pretenders? Seems too good to be true as they wont want to lose him and he is happy there. Untried in the EPL so a risk.
Loic remy - a more realistic option for january trasnfer. Can play in ECL too.
Any other potential targets would be welcome addition to the list. One things for certain we must not dilly dally and striker while the irons hot. Build on the luck we have rode and we may do better than we could have hoped. Failure to strengthen will most likely see us collapse at the crucial stage which we have seen signs of already with this tired squad out of sorts.
I would even guess that there's a clause in there to prevent his sale to another PL club. That then leaves a few other clubs in my book - Monaco, PSG, Anzhi, Real, Bayern and Barca.
Nobody asked for your opinion, you loser (take note there, there's only one O in loser) especially since you're cuddling up to that narcissistic troll Altree.
Any abuse that you receive on these boards is more than deserved, you bring it upon yourself spending so much time on forums, posting #$%$
Week 4 I had the formation 442 and Midfielder J. Williams C Palace did not feature. My #1 sub was M. Chamakh who is a forward but my #2 sub was J. Shelvey a midfielder. Yahoo changed my formation to 433 and put Chamakh in. Should it have been a straight swap Shelvey midfielder for J.Williams midfielder and stuck to the 442 that I chose???? It might be sour grapes on my part because Shelvey scored 14 while Chamakh had minus 2!!!!!!! Just curious
