Stoke City Message Board
It's only what many have known for a very long time, but dared not say, with the Dictator Ferguson around. There's more to come on the wheeler dealings of this man, and his cronies.......He didn't become mega rich, and own thoroughbred race horses, from an honest days work.
Au contraire Sweet.
I was not aware that Butch had 'gone away'. I certainly don't remember acknowledging it in recent history, but then again, as I said before I don't pay much attention to the board.
In defending Butch against other posters/trolls. I don't go on any other boards anymore. I stick to this one, and only this one. If Butch wanted my opinion on anything, I would give it. He has never asked for my help in dealing with anyone.
Everyone knows that I have spoken to Butch away from the boards and that as far as I am concerned, anybody and everybody is welcome to post here. I get along with most of the posters from the Utd board, I wouldn't exactly term them as friends though.
" , nobody takes a blind bit of notice of anything you say ... ever! "
I do, and so do plenty of others. Would you like me to name them..........oh dumb one??
Or are you afraid you'll get an answer that you don't like, and have to twist it around to suit??
You make me PMSL all day.
This season's title race is shaping up to be the best title race in recent seasons mainly due to the improved tactical quality of teams like Swansea, Southampton, Cardiff, Newcastle and Everton. Many lower placed sides in the division are now willing to take greater risks in games by having their full backs push high up and pressed the top sides unlike before, and this newly found confidence in their own abilities have been richly rewarded.
Whichever of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool win it this season, they would have done so DESERVEDLY, I HOPE for our sake that it's Arsenal who come up trumps in May 2014.
Not the same old Anelka(or was it?) and did you say you were happy with Jack on the left Govinda? Sorry, but your reply didn't make sense. Mine was nothing to do with him 'falling down'. Though he had a case for all the tackles flying in....Does he invite them, is the question?
Hi Blinky!!....Oh dear didn't that stoke you up.......outstanding result...and everyone can see how you're smarting with a well slapped #$%$....Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....AHHHHHHhhhhhhh! Ha Ha Ha H ah ah ha...oh dear listen to the two of you, one in each others head, squealing so loud we can here you over here....come on rikki give us that end of term photo of you in '59, that's a real hoot. The spiky hair and the real gormless lost look, of a future knuckle grazer, whose only chance of avoiding the ridicule, was to catch a boat to the land of sand. Ahhhhh! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Arrrhhh! ha ha ha ha ha ha ....smsl so much.
Sweet nightmares rikki....
"Protests continued in Jakarta, where dozens of people burned Australian flags and images of Prime Minister Tony Abbott outside the heavily fortified Australian embassy in Jakarta. They demanded an apology over reports that Canberra had spied on President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his wife."
Seems it's an Australian trait to 'spy' on people. Now we can understand that, what we have here in 'Mr' Altree et al, is not just a ex Brit. come Colonies settler, with a huge chip on his shoulder about England and how badly he or his parents were treated, but a real problem with identity, not really knowing who he is. Hence the spying on people like us, and constantly obsessed with 'twisting everything he reads, should it not suit him, or, more obviously, because its the truth. I can only imagine him sitting there well into the early hours(and you can guess, still drinking, after a day on it) staring at the screen, and trying to drum up something, or someone to abuse, or try -as he thinks- to ridicule people. You can take what you will from this, but if you have never been to Queensland, you will never understand the mind set of someone like him . I much preferred the 'Old Digger' a true Australian who worked hard for all he has (and sometimes nothing) scrubbing a living out of the land. 'Mr' Altree believes he is part of the Great Australia, but is in fact a despised version of everything a true Australian dislikes, and has nothing but contempt for. This is the kind of man we are dealing with here. A nobody, from nowhere, and there's a good chance that this man has never been near 'The Gabba' or a cricket bat, or a BBQ(unless there was free beer) in his sorry life. We learn from what we read about him from others who have taken the time to do some research on, that this is a malevolent individual, with not a caring bone in his body, and the nature of a child that thinks the world owes him a living. Only bitter & disappointed to find that Australia didn't provide that.
Pick yourselves up and dust yourselves down Gooners, all is not lost, not lost by a long shot (talking of long shots, apart from a set piece goal from Van purse strings, that's about all ManIOU had!).
Losing at Very Old Trafford sunday means very little in the grand scheme of things and even more so when you look at the manner in which the MIGHTY Arsenal lads lost.
In the cold light of day the picture is clear and the position of Arsenal has not changed. One could argue the case FOR Arsenal has even been further enhanced.
ManIOU won, fair and square and to be honest, they didn't play too terribly either. BUT, and it's a BIG 'but' (think Christophers Mrs), United only managed to score one goal in a game they HAD to win, in a game they gave EVERYTHING they had to win, with a full house at Very Old Trafford behind them too. United only managed to score from a set play against an unsettled Arsenal defence, rearranged due to illness, Kosceilny was playing on the opposite side to which he is used and alongside Vermalean, a new partner for the day.
Van purse strings (or complete #$%$ if you like) hardly got a look in and he was supposedly forming a great partnership with the fat #$%$ (or fat #$%$. They didn't look so good now did they?
Arsenal really should have bagged a goal second half and it was quite mind boggling when Giroud missed Sagnas cross.
Arsenal finished far stronger than ManIOU, and that was with the much derided Bendtner on the pitch.
First half, and even a lot of the second, Arsenal played the worst football I had seen them play all season, I couldn't believe the amount of misplaced passes, could you? Giroud was w**k for once and Ozil remained quiet (as he has last three games IMO).
All in all I thought Arsenals confidence was rocked by the missing Mertesaker and the enormity of the occasion, ManIOU to their credit smelt blood.
Today Arsenal still sit TOP of the Prem and missing players are getting closer to fitness.
Fear not Gooners.
Great to see Jack Wilshere get on the score board yesterday. The amount of times he got kicked yesterday was getting ridiculous. He got his reward though, by scoring a screamer. A point well earned against a team who's recent performances have seen their confidence grow.
Cashley looks set to miss out on some up-coming qualifiers. About time Hodgson gave a chance to Kieran Gibbs?
Rumours are abound that Wenger will be in the market for a striker in January. Anyone got any preferences?
One down, a few to go.
The Liverpool game managed to do a couple of things.
1. It served to prove that this team can currently meet the challenge of strong opposition in a league game.
2. It shut Brendan Rogers up.
We now need to turn over Dortmund in their back yard. Not sure if that or the Utd game will be tougher, but even then, Southampton are above Utd in the league, so maybe they should considered the tougher opponents at this stage.
This month could provide a clearer indicator of our chances of winning the league this season. December will be the main one though. Back to back against City & Chavs.
Interesting times ahead.

....and my moneys on us for a 3 v 1 win. Can't be more positive or confident than that, now can we. Having said that its not beyond the realms of impossible to make it 4 v 0 to us. But maybe that's stretching it a bit....
However, they do have a bit of a 'Marx Brothers' defence and Groucho in goal, so its not inconceivable for us to knock in 5. Is it??
Always look on the bright side of life.......
u think dzeko is gonna play??
any thoughts on my line up?
