Abou Diaby - Too injury prone to ever be considered a Paddy replacement.
Marouane Chamakh - Very early success has died a death.
Wojciech Szczesny - Like Lukasz Fabianski, has put in one too many faulty performances and could now be replaced by Reina.
Tomas Rosicky - The little maestro has been pushed down the ladder by Wilshere, Ramsey and now Cazorla.
Bacary Sagna - Contract talks stalled. Jenkinson on the rise and PSG desperate for a RB.
Gervinho - With Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ahead of him in the pecking order, he has no opportunity to improve his confidence.
Who to bring in?
Diaby -
Chamakh -
Szscesny - Reina
Sagna - Rangel/Corchia
Gervinho -
£100m net to spend. Doesn't factor what we might get for the above, so lets keep it the same. -
Shiver me timbers! The son of a biscuit eater is back someone hang 'im from the yardarm or tell the Scallywag who must be three sheets to the wind to batten down the hatches and weigh anchor and hoist the mizzen! Or the old seadog will soon be keelhauled and turned into shark bait.

Comforting fact.. sometimes it appears like someone has hacked you and comes up with some incredibly baffling statements, but if that's not the case, we can probably understand some of these things better now..

Just a slightly different angle guys. Fair points made by both of you by the way. What if Rodgers felt he had no choice because he simply doesn't think the other midfielders aren't good enough. For me that area of the pitch, with or without Allen has been both good and bad for us this year and is the root cause of our inconsistency. I also read that we're interested in the Ajax player Eriksson and along with Ince suggests that we're looking to strengthen that area.
I'm just playing devils advocate because I think our midfield really needs some work. -
I know, it sounds insane. He's still a decent manager, and how much of a chance is any replacement going to have to turn things around with so little time left?
I'm not saying Sunderland performed well in that game, even with us seriously dropping the tempo in the second half, but it just seems an annoyingly typical and short-sighted decision in today's game (the kind I hope United don't start making when SAF retires). -
And we have you with your drivel ...

Tau, I agree it has been a season of 2 halves, but I think the real reson for this was due to the comeback of Lucas. No one can deny that he makes the difference and if I can just bang on about KK again he didn't have Lucas for all of last season, so what would that season have been like?
If we want to look at segments of seasons, then what about KK's return in the 2nd half of that season, by all accounts our form in that 2nd half we would have won the PL !!
So to be fair in my opinion Lucas is the main factor in our progress and to be honest I don't feel him and Allen should be on the pitch at the same time ! -

the point ALL us spurs fans are trying to make is.....even us arm chair fans would have put priority on finishing top 4 first before anything and that would include a cup.......would bale put pen to paper if we do win the UEFA cup?...or would he be more likely to do so if we finish in the top 4 and guarantee us champions league matches?.....
with champions league matches next season it will not only open the possibilities of better buys in the summer but will argue the fact of keeping our top players for at least another season...by not buying in the january window has just shown our top players that spurs are a season to season club and not one that truly builds for the future...since jan even ady has lost that little spark he had and because of that it has started to dawn apon the rest of the players that this could well be some of them playing together for the last time at the lane ...
this importance of CUP win has harmed not only this season but our future as well...if bids for bale, ady and even vertoghen come in after a failed challenge for champions league spots it would be a minor miracle if we managed to hold on to them...
this Everton game on the weekend is a make or break game for spurs and a win is a must...if AVB doesnt set aside his ego and play a second string team for the return leg against basle then he really needs to look himself in the mirror and ask......"am i the spurs coach or am i just a coach looking to prove himself to everyone that doubted him"... for that i must point him in the direction of arsen wenger... who doesnt careless what people think of him but has always the best interests of his club. -
Jose Enrique - Came out.... I didn't know he was gay lol..

Was alot of poor finishing everything up until the oen box was good we was just missing that killer pass the only thing that has really annoyed me about this result is the fact that tottenham are losing right now so if we had beaten southamption and west ham a few weeks ago we was 12 points behind spurs now if we had won those games it would of been 3 and tottenham play city away next so would of been good time to catch up.

You are poisonously negative SB! where would OUR (clearly not your) beloved club be if everyone adopted your approach?
So, we throw all our eggs into one basket, the EPL basket! forget the domestic cups and put out a tottenham 11 in the Ropey League, throw everything at the EPL, where we are attempting to compete with clubs with vastly bigger budgets and more resource. Your approach would see us unlikely to win anything ever again, at least it would suit you and your doom at every corner outlook! Have you ever thought about writing a column for the Daily Mail, their readershit would enjoy your end is nigh approach to the world.
How about you make at least one positive comment in every post, and if you cant recognise them, you aren't a fan, your a novice critic- BORE OFF!

what was being celebrated gilly - the fact that arsenal are still 2 points behind spurs?

Brendan seems to have an unfortunate habit of saying some very silly things at times. As well as the "outstanding" statement, another one which tickled me last week, very much pre-match, was a reported observation that "Andy Carroll will probably be a very good player, but probably not at Liverpool". Unfortunately IMO the said Andy Carroll should be a vital part of the "missing Plan B" having the size and ability to disturb even a double decker bus no matter how its parked, but it would mean speed down the flanks to the bye line and, alas, putting the ball across in the air. Definitely not an appealing situation for the possession minded faint-hearted to contemplate. I remain hopeful we will finish in 7th spot this year and maybe even 5th next year with Brendan still at the helm. I just hope he learns something that my old Dad told me 60 years ago, "if youve nothing sensible to say lad, keep youre trap shut"

Agreed on Thatcher.

OK, so it was complete rubbish, and you have no answer?
Cool, have a nice day.
