Let's get this equality thing sorted once and for all. It's simple. At McL there is total equality, just that some are more equal than others. Therefore other equals are less equal than their equals. Equally Lewis is more equal 'cos he's the favoured son and has no equal to be equal with. When the new boy comes he'll be equally equal to his predecessors but less equal than Lewis on account of Lewis's superior equality. Equality equals being equal to your expectation of equality - got it? No? Ask Ron - he invented it!

But he was missing a bit of whatever it takes to be the World Champion. -

I know what you mean.
I imagine it is probably on the basis of the McLaren argument (using the word in the legal-type way) directly effecting Kimi`s Championship &, therefore, that he should be represented. -

they're revising this rule even now.
Apparently, there has been a legal challenge to this rule, and now FIA have decided to hold an alternative championship.
It will run alongside Constructors and drivers.
points will be awarded to the driver who comes up with the best excuse for not winning. A panle of independent experts will measure the excuses according to - believability, intelligebility, creativity and level of insult.
A ' note from my mum,' will not do, neither will a mdeical certificate. And no points will be awarded for 'engine failure,' 'gearbox failure,' (bad news for Webber, that one) 'Tyre pressure problems,' 'Electrics went bang,' or any other car related failure.
As an example - 'I crashed out because of bird #$%$ on my visor,' is expected to be worth five points, whereas 'someone ran over my mechanic,' only two because it's probably the drivers own fault.
God doesn't like me - no points. My team mate's a prat - only one point. -

It`s all a bit of a #$%$ up but, basically, not one that really lies with the teams. -

Thanks for the link paddock - all abit clearer now.
Still think that the whole season has been brought into disrepute with the majority of it lying at the feet of the FIA. Given what i have read and seen over the last few weeks, i believe Ferrari have got off quite lightly and Mclaren have paid a particularly heavy price. But you have quite rightly stated previously, that we do not know all the details and can get the wrong end of the stick with some creating the own version of the missing bits. It is also apparent from other reputable sources, that this counter espionage has been going on for years - maybe now this has happened, it will make for a more consistent sport in the future. The only block to that is messers Max & Bernie. They should now do the honourable thing and depart. That's the only way F1 will ever stand any chance of changing the views of many disgruntled supporters. The Renault situation must be the start of this process - the FIA have one last chance in my eyes! -

When I watched the start and Hamilton was in the garage a very subdued and suspitious looking mechanic wouldnt shake his hand and retreated quickly when he saw the camera - I predicted that Hamilton was now knobbled - I m not a psychic, just looking at the garage team member made me know that he wouldnt get anywhere near the leaders????

Well said - but I agree with others, Kimi's title wasn't tainted, he won it fair and square with a stunning second half of the season.
Both Ferraris titles were won on points won - OK McLaren were chucked out, but if they weren't Ferrari would still have won.
Kimi is a dignified and worthy World Champion - looking forward to a clean 2008 season and one where Kimi can defend his title, used to the team and the car and getting an input into the new car.........odds on him being a double world champion this time next year?
Forza Kimi - many congratulations!! -

I think it may have had more to do with #$%$ tyres, new car (remember unlike FA, Kimi was not allowed to test until January.) & various other reliability problems which both drivers suffered from.
I don`t think Kimi would be put off by Michael in the least. I think he just gets on with what he`s doing regardless. -

Christ, we just get rid of one *****r, and here's the suggestion that we could get another in World Wide (mouth) Webber.
At least, FA did demonstrate that he had driver skills!
Sooner have DC back, he knows the team, wouldn't have a problem with his teamate, knows the game, and has driven a car without TC. Sounds ideal to me. -
