    Squillaci, Arshavin and Frimpong will be leaving.

    Unfortunately because of the wages we pay I wont be surprised to see Bendtner, Chamakh, Park maybe Djourou (although he has had a decent loan spell so there is hope there) still taking in a big chunk of their wages from us.

    The best idea would be a clean slate/sweep and get them all off the books as quickly as possible before they all leave for free thus making whatever money we can on them regardless of what the Club thinks they are worth.

    Sell those we can (even cheaply) and we could get about 30/35mill and free up huge amounts of wages.
    Arshavin Squillaci and Frimpong leaving will already free up about 160/170kpw.

    There is soo much scope/flexibility to improve Arsenal and put the money into better practice. I just hope they notice it and work on it. There is some evidence of better practice though coming from our Academy. There seems to be a stream lining operation in effect where I hear we are not renewing or selling 16 of our youth products. Some of those leaving i am a bit disappointed by, like Meade, Ebecilio, Angha, and Henderson, but the others like Watt and Eastmond are not such a worry as they have been around for ages and yet to do much.

    I wouldn't accept still going for Williams if this happens, because Agger and Skrtel will both be 28, Wisdom still has to prove himself and we'd need a class youngster, which Coates apparently is not.. But sticking to this, I think Kolo makes all the sense in the world and if true, July 1st can't come soon enough, along with Christian Eriksen's signature and the 15M measly pounds Ajax want for him.. If I could get that loan from the bank I'd have done it by now, but then again, it would hurt any chance of getting the 62M loan for Cavani,

    The issue with Utds debt and money available is that they already had the revenue coming in. Vastly more than Arsenal have had. Their method has been well worked for them but Arsenal have been no where near on a similar footing as Utd to start with.

We will be buying at least 2 centre halves this summer, we clearly cant afford £25m to buy 2 top players in that position and expect to spend big elsewhere. We need winners and experience, how about 2 league titles, 3 FA cups and been captain of both City and Arsenal. Incidently, he has been back up for the countries best defence for the last 2 years, surely that would suggest he will be good enough to be back up for us and especially when he is free!

    The ideal scenario is Martin Kelly comes and owns that position and he is seldom used but he is just as likely to spend another year on the treatment table. I'm sure most fans would be happy with these 4 plus Wisdom/Kelly next year:

    Skrtel - Agger - Alderweireld - Toure

    I was trying to watch it on Firstrow sports but it kept telling me to update Java or download some player. I gave up and just checked Spurs twitter page every now and then.
    Have a good summer and I'm really hopeful Levy spends some serious money and gets AVB whomever he wants. Cheers.

    I believe the following players are in their final 12 months of their contracts: Denilson, Bendtner, Chamakh, Park, Djourou and Santos. This is where we need to be smart by striking mutual agreements with the players who are clearly surplus to requirements, it won't be easy but doable if the club are serious about the title next season as they are currently sounding.

    That article still talks as though you can't pay back debt and win trophies at the same time.

    The Emirates cost £390 million to build, about the same as United's debt repayments over the same period.

    United took chances with new players, paid top money, and top wages, banking on winning trophies to pay for it.

    A dozen more trophies in the cabinet since Arsenal last won anything would seem to prove United's approach was right.

    This summer's transfer activity will be a clear sign of the commitment we all want to see from the club.

    Assembling a squad worthy of winning silverware by bringing in a few key signings, whilst allowing the deadwood to leave and free up wages for those who deserve it.

    Denilson, Bendtner, Arshavin, Squilacci, Chamakh should all be on their way out. This should free up £250k p/w for a start.
