  Schumacher only had a close title fight when he was in a second-rate car. When he had the best car, no-one could keep up, which made everyone else look average.
  My feeling about 01, 02 and 04 is frustration at the fact that the others teams didn't even seem to TRY to catch up. So I reckon there was more a void of excellent teams in those years. A bit like McLaren in 88/89, but without the internal battle for the title...

Actually I think that next year he will replace the Spaniard who is obviously not a team player,typical of Europeans. I cant remember when I last wanted a Brit to win so much.Not since the Daman Hill Schumacer races.Look what Michaael did to hill.Deliberately ran into him to stop him winnin the championship.Typical European.Methinks that Alonso is acronic whiner and cant stand the thought that this rookie is as good as if not better than him.Cheers,Leslie

  McLaren appear to have a slight edge...but we've seen teams sandbag before, and I feel this is one of those occassions where the Ferrari will strike during qualifying and take 1st and 3rd. Insert Alonso 2nd and Hamilton 4th. The race should finish in that order as well. I like Raikkonen in Monza. He's won there before, and has the car to repeat it.

  I am baffled..the sky bundits are baffled and it appears that the majority of the football...

  I am baffled..the sky bundits are baffled and it appears that the majority of the footballing world is baffled as to why we did not sign anyone during the transfer windown. i can not believe after 11 years in the premiership and so few recent high value signings vs sales we are in so much debit...where do we go from here..?..the championship I think but hope not...!

  especially in fields like technology and engineering? isnt that where most spying takes place? between R&D laboratories?
  A compan is found with their competitors intellectual property then yes its a crime whether they actually copied the technology or made their similar or not even at all.
  
  Im not as dumb as to think that McLaren would actually and effectively REPLICATE parts from the Ferrari cars !! but it is an advantage to know what's under the hood of your opponents, there is no doubt about it.
  They may have also found out that such or such systems weren't made well so they discarded them and didnt replicate them or imitate them on their own cars? Then thats STILL USING THE INFO!!!!!!!!!
  
  Don't compare that to the information that pilots pass around when they change teams, they dont walk around with 780 pages of blueprints and technical data in their drivers' brains....not one engineer can actually retain that much info in his mind, and pilots are far from being that technical anyway.
  
  And don't forget about the advantage McLaren got from Stepney giving them strategic race information DURING RACES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
