Glad to see he has opened his big trap and put the mockers on his team ahead of the game.

Clearly his team agree with him that it wasn´t a derby. they hardly turned up.

The only good thing they did all game, against the run of play, was to take the lead.

What I was most stunned about during the game was seeing Big Sam´s smile everytime a NUFC player went off injured. You could see him metally calculating his kick back everytime a player went down! Did you see his disappointment when Owen went down in a tumble only to stand back up? I thought he actually kicked the ground in disappointment.

Loved the NUFC warm up as well - 10 laps round Viduka!

Davey, Muscle, Not quite the thrashing you were chirping about. Need some more defenders do you now? Shame.

Mido is looking good though. And he´ll be 29 when his contract runs out. Vids will be 35 and on 80k min a week. It´s a funny old game.........

    N’Zogbia hit a cracker, unstoppable!
I freely admit that Newcastle looked the more skilful side and looked more dangerous going forward.
So they should be with the money spent.

Facts speak for themselves though; we had more possession, shots on target, shots off target, corners. http://www.skysports.com/football/match_report/0,19764,11065_2861136,00.html

We played with more passion and desire…. yes being at home and with half our team being local lads this is only to be expected.

Newcastle will take a few more games to gel, its normal when you have some new players and a new manager. Just hope you don’t get the injury problems as bad as last season and you should finish in the top ten this season easily.

As for Mido and the away fans… shouting “Mido the Paedo” & “Mido has a bomb yer know” only seemed to gee him up to score a really well took goal….you remember how he controlled the ball (held off Taylor like he was a junior player) , rounded Harper (easily) and flicked the ball in.
Arca suffered the same sort of abuse, but just as you were drooling at the thought of Viduka winning the game…O dear!!
But anyway no hard feelings for shouting abuse at our players…....it certainly did the trick for us.
Perhaps one or two of you should keep your big traps shut in future…for your own sakes though not ours ; )

Yeah , yeah , what a load of unadulterated crap ! for years alan shearer was subjected to orchestrated and vindictive abuse from Man ure supporters...........".cheer up alan shearer oh what does it mean to a sad geordie b*st*rd and a shite football team". Was there a public outcry from within or from outside the peoples repulic of the toon ? the answer is no there was not ............ did the god that is shearer complain ?.....the answer is no he did not ...........did newcastle supporters complain ?........ once again the answer is no they did not...........we simply celebrated louder and longer everytime he stuck yet another one in the back of their net ! For gods sake get a life.......... get real.........or go and watch netball or some other namby pamby girls game ! And while we`re at it what about the abuse viduka was subjected to throughout the game.Has jug ears sent an apology to the australian embassy ...? Once again I suspect the answer is probably ..........NO !

Hey up Davey, been quiet around here it has. I am pretty sure Doug is in Russia and I have been taking a long overdue holiday.
Don’t lose heart mate, one of the reasons you love the toon is the same as why I love Boro, and that’s cos they will surprise you just when you think a defeat is inevitable. Against a poor team we are always gonna struggle....give us the likes of Chelsea or United and then we start to play football....just don’t ask me how.
Consistency is the thing both teams should be aiming at IMO.

With regards to Smoggies post..... Muscle box posts some funny stuff on here and is up for some banter, he slates us off but at least he does it in a humorous way and I respect him for that.
Smoggie_white_socks on the other hand is a tail who gives Geordies a bad name and to quote Mr T "I pity the fool"
Mind you when he does crawl from under his rock and posts his bitter twisted sh¡te, he is easy enough to put down and bites like a fookin piranha in a tank full of giblets.

So far this season we`ve played 4 games at home, we`ve` won 3 and drawn 1 scored 5 goals and conceded 1 ...........that`s not bad is it ? Apart from that I do believe that we are actually improving as the injured players are returning to the squad. As I`ve said on a previous thread I thought we looked a bit like a football team for the last 15 mins on sunday after Enrique came on,which allowed N`zogbia to play in his best position, wide left midfield, and milner to play wide right.Once Biffa Barton is fit we should be a bit of a handfull...........Please don`t think I`m taking the p*ss but your injury situation, especially up front looks like it`s becoming a bit of a crisis...........With regard to what happened to us at Derby, I don`t profess to know how or why it happens I only know it does ................

    I hope not!!!

Although the new team is not firing as we all want GS has lost the 2 main strikers from last season. One he probably did not think was going to go. The the replacements all get injured!

Although we´re getting beaten, aside from Chelsea, there has been better football played in all the games. Some of the games jsut have´,t gone our way. Over the whole season this had better average out or we´re in serious trouble!

Will GS get the boot? I really dont think so. Even at Christmas, if it is sticky, he will give GS another transfer window to do some dealing and there is no point bringing in a new guy to work with someone else´s team. SG backs his managers to the hilt, they have all been rookies from Robson, SMc and GS. He wont change the manger who is getting the team to play better even if the current results are poor.

I have seen this team miss more siters this season than the whole of last put together! We just need to score them!

    Come On BORO!

Yep I have lost all sense of reason and thought...oh no wait thats your chairman.

You watch Keegan on the telly last night during the City game? I dont think I have ever seen him looking more lost, bewildered, scared and intimidated even during his final game for England. You would have thought his chest would be puffed out with pride, not butt cheeks clenched in fear!!!!!!!!! Well not yet any way. There may be trouble ahead....

How long before he gets sacked?

Who is your man to replace him?

Will he get through next Christmas?

In the soap opera that football is NUFC can always be relied on to be the tragic comedy.

(A personal favourite? A coment made by Keegan was shown on the BBC last night, from an interview 3 months ago when he admitted he had not watched a live game since he left man city 2 years earlier!! That lad will be razor sharp when he starts training with the team today! Or maybe the back page of the Sun quoting from Owen´s book where he slammed Keegan for destroying is confidence and always picking on him for the whole teams failure when he ran England) Black and white pure gold comedy.

Both wrong ! .....my mole on the dole, informs me that during his time in Spain, the warm climate and hanging around with David Beckam had in fact turned our Woody into a SOFT SOUTHERNER

Details first emerged when shortly after his return (in a sarong!) he ordered a “Lager top guvnor” at the players bar. Soon after he was displaying further blatant Southern behaviour, when on a Saturday night out in Redcar, he was unable to observe the strict Teesside dress code of only a T-shirt in winter. Woody tuned up in sheepskin coat only to be shunned by the purple-armed local folk. His response was “Jog on you Muppets” and a tuneless Chas & Dave rendition followed by “ Knees up mother Brown” and “roll out the barrel”

Lately secret tapes were found from an interview with the evening gazette…..Woody was clearly heard confessing that he was “rumbled in the nuclear sub paying some geezer a ton for some snide lemon Barley”

Frankly, it was no surprise to me when he signed for Spurs.

There you see, a classic example...the pride involved playing for Boro far exceeds the financial gain....he....he....ha hah hahahahahahahahah...sorry Davey I tried not to laugh at my last statement but it just slipped out, ok, we will agree to differ. I too am disappointed with the Riverside attendance figures, but at least it makes you lads feel superior...until we play each other anyway ; )
Actually I reckon after paying Mike Ashley & Mark Viduka's pie bills there isn’t much difference in revenue between our clubs.
Next seasons predictions hmmmmm..............Boro top ten finish, Southgate has definitely learned some hard lessons from last season and hopefully we should see the rewards.
NUFC....providing KK doesnt leg it, or Ashley doesnt #$%$ all your dough on the stock exchange should finish midtable, behind Boro, but it will be close again...one or two points in it... thats all i am saying until we see some new signings. So there’s my prediction...and the wager is ....5 milkybars and a curly whirly…..whaddayasay Geordie boy….gonna take the bet ?

Which facts did I mis-represent? None I think you will find (maybe the barton dig that he will still be in gaol in 2013 but I am sure he will have been released and back inside on another unrelated matter by then) Aside form that if you feel the need to claim that I am twisting the truth simply cos the truth hurts then I understand your need to try to deflect what must surely be a painful emotion for you.

Indeed to come on this website and start chucking contract and wage jokes about the Boro must be on par with Mr Fritzl claiming his family is safe at night because they are under lock and key.

As for refusing to waste money now...Does Steven Taylor the former England U21 capt and youth product not deserve a new contract, or do you feel he is not up to the standard of defender you require? How are all the Spanish lads fitting in anyway?

Where will Boro finish? I hope for top 3, would love top 7, expect top half, sweat at 12 and another brown pant season if we finish lower than that!

We need more midfield signings and the quality of these will, I think, massively shape the season. We are missing a few parts from the engine at the moment! Nice to start next season with a strike for though (quickly touching wood!).

Just goes to show how many friends I have!

Nothing like a bit of French running through the team. Especially when the Germans are on the horizon.......

May as well chat to you Davey,

What you think of your openers and closers?

    August

    16 Man Utd (A)

    23 Bolton (H)

    30 Arsenal (A)

    September

    13 Hull (H)

    and you close with

    May

    2 Liverpool (A)

    9 Middlesbrough (H)

    16 Fulham (H)

    24 Aston Villa (A)

    Boro have

    August

    16 Tottenham (H)

    23 Liverpool (A)

    30 Stoke (H)

    September

    13 Portsmouth (A)

    and finish with

    May

    2 Man Utd (H)

    9 Newcastle (A)

    16 Aston Villa (H)

    24 West Ham (A)

Think we have the slightly easier opening four games but you the final run in.
