To say that Hamilton isnt arrogant proves that you dont read press releases or interviews. The boy wants to be the HIGHEST ever paid driver, surpassing Micahel, in his first year. He dumps his girl the minute he makes it big whereas Schumi is happily married and never wandered. Schumi BUILT teams, Hamiloton inherited the best. Schumi competed against the GREAT Senna and beat him. Hamilton is fighting off an angry Spaniard who is being treated as a step child by his own team. In other words, IF Hamilton wasnt British, in a sport that is undeniably British, if he was German for example, he would be hailed as the most arrogant and classless racer for a long time.

One last point. If McLaren has been seen to be cheating by stealing Ferrari designes, and stripped of points, how come its Drivers, who undeniably benefited from the same theft, are not stripped of their points? Does anyone imagine Michael getting away with that?

Schumacher's sheer dominance in his sport in the first half of the first decade of the new millennium proves his worthiness.

His dominance reminded me of Aryton Senna in his hey-day. Schumacher consistently raced at the top of the field winning races upon races.

Look at the facts. Nobody has the numbers like he did.

In my opinion as far as cheating is concerned Alonsi is as bad a Schumacher was in the ignoring flags are concerned. Alonso ignored double waved yellows at Brazil a few years ago and had a big accident as a result. Any driver who ignores flag signals is a cheat and also dangerous as they not only put their lives at greater risk but also the lives of fellow drivers and more importantly the marshals who might be working trackside to clear an incident. That is why I don't rate Jacques Villenueve after Suzuka 97 when he admitted that he deliberately ingnored double yellows during qualifing despite marshals being trackside dealing with a car. He should have been excluded from the meeting and banned. If the FIA had guts to do this then the infamous Jerez incident wouldn't have happened because Villeneuve shouldn't have been on track for that meeting. Also Villeneuve has a record of ignoring yellows and in one incident he was lucky not to kill someone

    1st, I'm a racing fan.
    2nd, I'm a Ferrari fan.

A few reasons why I think Schumacher doesn't even deserve to even be considered "One of the Greatest":
    1. '94 collision with Hill on the last race
    2. '97 collision with Villeneuve on the last race
    3. Made his telemetry unavailable to his teammate
(Berger I think). WTF was this allowed to happen?
    4. Barrichello made to let him pass in Austria and Rubens' subsequent weeping on the podium.
If the team was built around him, he could have disregarded the order. Team orders my a**.
Schumacher's subsequent gesture in Indy made it a mockery.
This pisses the hell out of me.
Let the race winner take the chequered flag!!!
    5. Monaco parking incident.

    Good question...
In one sense he already has been replaced, and the show goes on. In a history sense he's immortal... his level of talent the best of his generation, but still very human (and flawed).

Thankyou MS for the hours of pleasure - I only wish our tv would have stayed in car to watch a master at work more. On the other hand I can't forgive some of the excesses of that ruthless streak - no doubt essential to keep you on top, but never-the-less capable of the most rank sportsmanship.

The Hill ramming incident in 94... never admitted - that's very bad... I still do the 'If Only...' on that one. But
actually blame Williams & DH, if Williams hadn't believed the anti-hype about Daemon (remember Champ Mansell was called back from retirement to say 'I can't drive the car any faster than this guy'), if Daemon hadn't half believed you when you said he wasn't in your class. That day would have been a poetic justice as the man 'not in your class' simply drove you down and forced you into the final error that had you self destruct.... he only had to hesitate a fraction longer and assess the damage to be a worthy champion.... if only.

Then four seasons later at a spray masked track and you drove into the back of a struggling Coultard - then had the brass nerve to blame him for a conspiracy against you! In fact there's barely a season without such antics... evidence of a cool fast race brain yes, but also a steel immaturity that you are still here to admit.

For I still have the chance to meet you at a dinner somewhere... unlike so many past greats... and give you a shin kick for the Hill thing.

MS Great? Yes of course. The greatest? No not quite. Un-replaceable? Its not in the nature of the sport. I could list other drivers and their best drives - some I've been able to witness live.. names you would struggle to fully recognise.

What will F1 do without MS? Go forward... anyway I don't think we've quite seen the last of him yet. As for the next MS - look on the track he's already there.

It might take long years and perhaps new technological developments before Michael Schumacher can ever be displaced from where he is standing right now.I am now 47 years of age and I anticipate that in my lifelong following of the development in Formula One racing, particularly that of one's succession of King Michael's throne is not forthcoming. He is to my mind and feelings the greatest in motor racing.

Was Schumacher better than The King ie Richard Petty who in his NASCAR career won 200 races in the top class including 7 Daytona 500s, 7 championships on all types of tracks and surfaces. We will never know. Was Schumacher better that Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell, AJ Foyt, Jim Clark? Again that question will remain unawswered. Stats don't make a great driver. In my opinion a great driver not only has to win races and titles but has to appraochable to the fans, come across well with the media and not be excluded from championships

Errm, was'nt people saying the same thing about Alan Prost, & his 4 world champ record?? Give it time, would Senna be on his 10th championship by now? Mansell, would he still be about if F1 politics had'nt made him move to indycar? Schy was a driver that, to me, didnt like team mates that beat him, Eddie Irvine could of been a Farrari champ, but wasnt to be, so Kimmi took his 2nd world champ when Schy beat Eddie! Come on Formula One, a new day has dawned LOL ;-)

I agree with you up till a point where you said that there are no good drivers cos Kimi, Massa and Hamilton are great drivers. Schumacher is/was so good that i can't explain it with words:P:P unlike Alonso who i can just say..Lucky, and Lucky again! Schumacher will be remembered in F1 forever for what he has done in the sport. He will be remembered in F1 along with other great drivers like Prost,Hakkinen and Senna. He is and still remains a driver that everyone loved to watch.

The best test of any driver is how well he does in comparison to his own teammate (since the machinery is the same). In the most trying of cars in 1996 and 1997 (and conditions) Schumi always outperformed his team mate by a mile and thats the true sign of his abilities. He is the best I have seen in 15 years of F1.

And Schumi did win GPs next to the likes of Mansell, Senna and Prost... no electronics, traction control, old school manual gear box, etc... and proved his skills with real men.

We are in the age of simulators, computer controlled traction and braking, paddle gear-shifting that takes less than .2 seconds to kickin etc etc etc..... whoever says he cheated his way through is probably jaleous or simply watching the wrong channel.

1.- I am not twisting the facts, I know the facts and I am presenting them to you in a very accurate and professional and educated manner.

2.- You mention Youtube number of videos of MS compared with FA as a probe or fact, good Lord, What was that about?

3.- You say "Alonso is a whining little bitch", What is that about?. You seems to be quite emotional with Fernando Alonso....

Sorry Vicari, I thought we could have some serious posts filled with some F1 insides but you are posting emotional stuff, not my style.
