Yes. There must be some snide growing up who, on the backs of good sportsmen, will use every devious and, unsporting ploy to cheat his way( with the help of a like minded team ) to the top of the sport again.

Never in our life time or in any other life time. However, if drivers get younger then perhaps, but then you will assume cars will be closer on the track and therefore more champions more often.....sorry still can't see it happening...Schu the legend ! Glad I was alive to watch every race since I first saw on the podium with Mansell and Senna him at Kyalami 1992..long live Schu

Schumacher showed in his last race what he was capable of doing if he took risk and drove to his limits. He annoyed me a bit with that race knowing that he was just driving safely in the past 7 years and what we missed if he ever drove like he was capable of. But he is a family man and I understand.
For those who compare Alanso and even Hamilton are mistaken because they just have to watch Schumacher's early F1 races and they will understand the difference in the class.
Let us pray that he come back next season and excite us like he did in his last race.

I don't believe anyone will ever best Michael's dominance of F1 which is why he was forced to retire. Maclaren whined enough to FIA that the filed wasn't "even" and that's when we started seeing regulation changes and Ferrari being attacked. I think David Coultard said it best when he said the rest of the field should just step it up rather than try putting Michael and Ferrari down.
It's sad that this wonderful sport has to cripple those that excel in order for those that cannot to break even.

Kimi doesn't have the desire that Michael showed, and he wouldn't even be in 3rd position now if it wasn't for all those faulties on Massa's car. Hamilton is young and he has the fastest and best car so time will tell. As for that Alonso character, the guy that ratted out his own team to save his own stinking hide, he should be shot. He is a cheat, and he doesn't deserve it!!

    M. Schumacher not doubt the greatest F1 driver of his era, I believe he will be replaced and I think that L. Hamilton could just be that person. I was impressed by Hamilton's strife and his drive in his first year of F1 and he really gave F. Alonso a good clean fight for the second place victory. No one not even me would of expected K. Raikkonen to come out on top, He did an he done a good job. Next year however Hamilton will have his eyes wide open and probably consentrate on racing and no conflicts about who's team leader. I have to stress it's a shame that Alonso will not be with mclaren for the 2008 season. However it would be a great thing and a great race to see Hamilton, Schumacher, Alonso and Raikkonen all on the same track competing for the championship.

I think that those who score points in the first half of the season get transport funding for the second half - or at least it was. The points system was changed to reward consistency. It's only an issue because Ferrari are moaning because they haven't demonstrated consistency. Expect more if McLaren hold them off. Can't wait for BMW to make the jump completely across. Then Luca can really whine - "the white cars hurt my drivers eyes".

A slower Renault? Clearly the tyre advantage and use of the illegal mass dampner system to make the car go a lot faster didn't register with you did it? You even admit that Kimi had bad luck but fail to aknowledge the same for Schu when his engine gave way in the penultimate race effectively handing over the championship to a slower Alonso.

Yeh the Ferrari was fast/fastest in the second half of 2006, but it was THAT MUCH FASTER because Schu was driving the wheels off it. Senna, Prost, Mansell all did the same with their machines. And as for Massa and Kimi being on the same level?????? Man you really do need some therapy.

This is so true...ever since the first GP of the season...never was it ever that hard to sit through TV commentaries..
now i go to the pub to watch it, since they blast music in the background. I dont need no commentary, i can tell whats going on myself.

By the way, Kimi overtook 8 cars, we haven't seen any of that (or was it 7). Other pilots actually overtook others i believe, do you remember any of it? no because all ITV cares about is to tell us how good McLaren is doing, showing us lap after lap of FA and LH. Renault did good on this GP too, but who cares right?
This will eventually get people to not watch F-1 anymore, personally it's having a reverse effect on me, im now less and less interested in McLaren and their pilots. ITV will eventually succeed in making us want Ferraris to give McLaren a trashing so they can finally shut the hell up...it's THAT bad.

Right #$%$s let's get one thing straight F1 is supposed to be a race NOT A PROCESSION it's hard enough to generate any excitement at Monaco without Ron"boring" Dennis telling his drivers to slow down.I for one am sick to death of people telling us before the "race?" that overtaking is going to be diffucult at this track or the other,of course it's diffucult if it was easy everyone could do it.The fans of F1 pay an absolute fortune to watch this rubbish The choice is yours F1 give us proper racing or pack up and take that bloody geriatric cockney barrow boy Ecclestone with you.The only question is when i'm watching this dross on a sunday afternoon is how long i can stay awake for.
