No Darlo v Boro - ITV teletext. Sound like a blissful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Followed by an evening of "Escape from Colditz" with me, me mates and a few cans of sugar free vimto. Wow, what a night!

  I think this is quite doubtful at the moment as steve mcclaren seems to be incapable of achieving any consistancy. I thought that we eventually had a manager capable of achieving this but it seems we are going back to the boro of old. However i do think that we have at least a chance of reaching at least the semis of the uefa as our current record backs. Come on Stevie give us some consistency and get your die hard fans back firmly behind you!!!

  I am a little sceptical as to the timing of this myself.
  Only six months into a new contract when the club were bending over for him to join on again, smell a rat here to save someones face after a few blunders he made that we all know cost us vital points.
  Where will he go???
  What will we get for him???
  Who will we bring in as first choice, or is Brad Jones now considered first choice????
  At the end of the day this is all very strange at this time of the season and yet again something is going on in the background that the fans are not aware of.
  Sounds like a bust up to me.
  Honesty is the best policy.

  Sacked sounds more like the truth, but it may hurt the selling price also.

  My suggestion for new players would be:
  International Goalkeeper as No.1 (Jones not experienced enough yet)
  Centreback to meld with Riggott as Southgate comes to the end of his career. I would also give Southgate a role with the young players as he is a model professional and well respected. He may even be considered as a successor to McClaren when he does eventually go. Coops is retiring too so Gareth could assume his role.
  Fullback as cover for Quedrue
  Central midfield playmaker for cover and to work alongside Mendieta & Boateng (not sure Rochembach is the one)
  
  I would release or sell:
  Ehiogu (when cover has been secured) Parlour (not the player he was at Arsenal)Jimmy Floyd surplus to requirements.
  I would loan Nemeth until the end of the season (or recall)to Sunderland it would do them both good.

  well if anyone was scorin an anyone was stoppin the other team scorin ya would'nt be where ya are would ya so will it make a difference really? ya see the rules are ya have to score more goals (thats when you put the ball in yer opponents net) than yer opponents to win. if they score more than you ya lose and if ya score the same its a draw.

  I dont think Schwarzer or Queudrue will leave this summer. I dont see why you think we need a left back, we have more than adequate cover there with Franck and Poggie. A right sided midfielder i think is a must so we can push Mendieta into the middle, but i have a feeling he may stick with James Morrison out there when hes back to full fitness.
  
  I also dont think both Hasselbaink and Viduka will leave. I think it will be one or the other, not both. Which will leave a space open for another striker to come in and replace them as i think we have done well having 3 top class forwards. I think either Andy Johnson from Palace or Lee Trundle from Swansea. Trundle does the unexpected and although he looks a bit of a lard arse, always seems to score goals, some great ones too! Would only cost a couple of million, so why not give him a try? Johnson has proved himself in the Premiership and although he aint had a good season this year, i still think he could do a job for us
