Well thats thrown your theory to the wind....we have been here before season after season and clung on for our lives...welcome to the roller coaster again....The thing is we wont be getting any more big players on huge salarys anymore..Southgate has opted for youth and they need time to develop...The biggest problem is we have a top striker whos not hitting the target (Hamilton RETARD mark2) but Alves has more class about him than hamilton ..Look at his stats: Hopefully he will regain his confidence and start producing the goods...Gibson is a Great chairman and is not rash, look at the decision to refuse to let Downing ,,ONeil and tuncay go and now they are helping the cause...CMON BORO

Pessimist or what???? Give the guy a chance for heaven's sake, it's only been less than a week since Boro were relegated. If the eight Boro players go to peddle their wares at other clubs and I'm not saying you are correct in that assumption it should bring in about £40m in transfer fees. Most if not all of this would be available as Boro's debt is a third of what it was in 2008. Assuming it was only £25m, that would buy some very good players. I tend to agree with r.p., Newcastle are in a worse state at the moment and it will take a huge investment in payoffs and transfer fees to put it right.
Gibson has seen Boro drop a division below and has invested to put it right, I for one am going to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. -

We have no delusions of grandeur, we got what we deserved this season, whereas United assumed they were the best team in the world and were stuffed, so stop moaning skidmark and take it like the "mummies little soldier" you are.

He really doesn't seem to be the full shilling.
Another comment he made " I was too surprised to say anything when Steve told me - looking back now I should have said we are only 1 point behind Newcastle".
Ah well now you'll have the baloney and bluster from wee Ginger to entertain you -

I am a Rangers fan but was never a Boyd fan. I found him lazy and you had to set a team round him. I will adfmit though, when you let him play his game he is superb. He does not cope really well with personal pressure but I think he could do a job for you and a really brilliant one at that. That from someone who had a long time of despite toward him.

Fire max mosley. He's horrible. Yeah, let's save money, but now, I'm going to change the regulations for V8's. So now the teams either have to run V10's with lower rev specs or build another car to accomodate V8 engines. Mr. Mosley, so which one is it? Save money or not? Nascar makes decisions which help the sport. So does MotoGP and other racing organizations. They have become very popular over the years because of the overtaking & side by side racing. F1 has gone down. Bring it back to what it was. And stick to the regulations once they are made. It seems that 2006 will be different than 2007 which will be different from 2008. I have one word for you, consistancy.

The stupid idiots at the FIA need to have another look at the new rule changes, they wont be happy untill every car crawls around the track at 40mph. I thought the point of formula 1 is to push the car to its very limits. You cant do that with an engine that needs to last 2 races and a set of tyres you have had for the full race. BERNIE DO SOMETHING!!!!

For that case, I wonder how much Michelin payed last year!!!!, look not changing tyres takes away from racing, plus it is not safe, as Kimi proved last season, your comment has no basis, just a cheap shot a Ferrari!

Of course nobody wants adverts during a race but virtually no state TV company can afford what Bernie is asking for the coverage. Strangely for a small country Austria's state TV still shows F1 and Bernie actually forced them to reduce the power of the transmitters so that Germany and other border countries couldn't pick it up for free!
And think yourselves lucky you're not in Italy where they have adverts (admittedly only about 10 seconds a time) about every 5 minutes!!! -

Hello, my name is John, and I'm from the USA. I was wondering if anyone is going to see the Indianapolis 500? It will be on television at 5:00 PM, Greenwich daylight-savings time, on Sunday, May 28.
If anyone would like to chat, please contact me at johnsmith2022@yahoo.com .
Thanks, and have a nice day! :-) ... John -

I know there is nothing worse than somebody spamming and advertising another forum on any site, but we just need a little helping hand. I'm looking for loanees and not permenant transfers.
Footy-Fans first hit the web as Premfootball about 5 years ago and we expanded, changed name and set up individual fanzines for clubs. After some bickering over prices with an unamed host, we were forced to close our doors at the begining of this year.
Now we're trying to relight the spark, but having lost our original member list and contact details, it's proving to be a tough call. This is where I'm asking for your help.
If I can borrow some of the members from here and ask you to sign up, say hi and give us the look of a working forum to attract new members, we would be eternally grateful.
My apologies to the admin team here, as I said we're not trying to poach members, just loan for a short while and help us get things going again.

F1 and NASCAR teams often trade technology with the trades being about 50% NASCAR to F1 and vice versa.
Yeah, I can see it now...NASTYCAR crew chief teaching F1 crew chief how to set the carburettor...oops...well...maybe how to plumb a nitrous oxide line...no...weld a cage...no...
Are you seriously suggesting that any accidents late in a NASCAR race are staged?
Two thirds of the races with cautions at the end. It's either staged or the drivers are wankers.
Also 27 of the 40 races for NextelCup cars this haven't ended with Green White Checker or have had a caution in the last 20 laps as you claim. I know as I have seen every race this year either live or as live.
If you've watched them, why do you think that there were 40 races when there were 36? And 23 of those ended with cautions in the last 20 laps...I get my information from the NASTYCAR website. And if you're off on such a simple thing as that, why should I (or anyone) listen to anything else you have to say.
Would you rather see a race end under caution or tag a few extra laps on to the end and see it end under green?
I'd rather see a set of rules that is maintained. If it's scheduled to run 300 laps, run 300 laps. What about the guy who puts in just enough fuel to get to the checker? Sorry, "we want to put on a show."
I haven't heard any driver complain about that win at all. I was at that race (The 2001 Pepsi 400) and I didn't any driver complain that is was fixed as you claim.
The drivers quoted were Jimmy Spencer and Johnny Benson. Would be glad to forward links anytime you like.
When Schumacher tried to fix the race at Indy a couple of years for a dead heat but failed and let Barrichello to win. The FBI investigated that as fixing a sporting fixture (?) is a serious offence.
Bunk...I flat don't believe that, but on the off chance I can think of several occasions where sporting events have had outcomes fiddled with...better put them onto the lads that conceded matches at the Ryder Cup when the outcome wasn't in question - just like the win at Indianapolis wasn't in question. Ryder Cup was going to be a Europe win; Indianapolis was going to be a Ferrari win. Plus,
anytime a team puts in the reserves near the end of a game
the point spread can be affected. That's a load of bollocks.
We better agree to disagree. Keep your roundy poundy lead sleds, and I'll keep my snobbish open wheelers. I'm not going to change your mind, and you certainly aren't going to change mine.
It's been fun... -

You are just blind saying the records schumi has but you should think about something.
Schumacher had the best car during a lot of years and he didn't have too much racing drivers to fight with.
With all that things even the worst could win. (I am not saying that Michael is bad) -

Murray Walker was the greatest F1 commentator ever. He put his whole heart and soul into his commentries. It didn't matter to him that he got things wrong, in fact it did matter to us that he got things wrong because they were so funny and so memorable. Can anyone remember anything any other commentator has said that is as memorable a Murray Comment such as "That car is unique appart from the car behind which is identical" Long Live Murray Walker. ITV give him some guest spots please.

seriously, you must've expected something like that to happen? anyone who has ever taped a live sorts event, or waited for the reruns has had this experiance. as a matter of fact i deliberately didnt log in yesterday cos i didnt want to see the results of qualifying (which wasnt even shown live for no reason)
if you were that bothered, why not just get up a bit earlier and watch it live? personally i lose interest if its not live anyway, but i seem to have an odd perspective on that.
although, having said that, if you had watched it live youd have missed the important bit, since shumi blew up during the advert break.
