Yet another trophy under his belt.

    As the Yahoo blog says:

"... for now let’s celebrate the tactical genius that is Benitez who, for all his faults, has won three major European titles, plus a Super Cup and World Club Cup.

Not bad for a man supposedly more suited to catering than football management."

You so obviously do care though John.

I feel I should inform you that I have never sought 'friends' on here. Do you seek 'friends' on here John? I have no 'friends' whatsoever on here. From what I can tell, you believe a 'friend' is anyone who conforms to the opinion held by you that Wenger is useless and should have been sacked, along with the playing staff, seasons ago and who never questions your, frankly, daft opinions. I KNOW you are riled that Arsenal are on the brink of qualifying for the CL, again. I also know that if they fail (and that is a real possibility), you will gloat.

    I don't call that 'support'.

As far as I am concerned, and from what I see, it is me who ridicules you.

PS. It is you who cannot refrain from mentioning my good self. Hell, you've even dedicated a thread to me!

PPS. How long before your 'friends' from the ManIOU board come rallying to your defence I wonder?

    Much love John.

    Much love!

Since the board changed format, I can see everyone's posts. That's right Fab, I can see yours too.

What you don't seem to understand is that I don't honestly care what you post. Nothing you have to say is of any interest to me. It's so simple even you could understand that.

Please do continue to do your best to try and maintain the one 'friend' you may have around here by responding to my every post. And when that fails, mention my name in every other post you put up too. It does nothing but let everyone know just how desperate you are.

In the meantime, please do continue to allow yourself to be ridiculed by everyone else. It makes a change from Ducati being the butt of all the jokes.

I've realised you're getting confused, or are deliberately trying to confuse the points.

Someone talked about the reasons you chose your username (hero worship of a very good Arsenal player who then left your club for a better one), and was right. I have agreed with that point.

At the same time, someone else said in a separate thread that you had been replying to your own posts in that thread under another name. I didn't say anything about that point, and don't really care about it. That's not what I've been talking about.

You did use Arshavin as your avatar. Feel free to keep talking your own tripe, but you did. I don't really care that much about your opinion on the matter.

:-) If I understand you correct you would like two central strikers on the pitch at the same time? Pair Giroud with Higauin for instance? Like a 4-4-2?

I'm surprised that no abus have leapt upon the news that Ferdinand has announced his retirement from the England team. Given that he is one of the players they most like to have a go at I would have thought they would have got round to abusing him quicker than this. Guess they are too busy writing about transfer rumours or dealing with the dawning realisation that just because a player has a first refusal clause in his contract (Fabregas) it doesn't mean he has to return to his previous club.

2 central strikers!!? What is this sacrilege you speak of!!?? lol
I actually think Giroud would be a perfect foil for another central striker he holds up well and supplies well and can score too. Partner him with Walcott, Podolski, Even Cazorla, Higuain..anyone and i reckon you would see the best from him. He can work as a lone striker but with a partner i reckon he would be essential to actually getting us success.

Yes, I have been accused of changing my ID and I even showed you the post in which said claim was made.

No, I have NOT used Arshavin as my Avatar. Not even for a second.

I presume you have now resorted to the time honoured Rikki tactic of 'If I talk utter tripe long enough even though I am in the wrong hopefully I may convince someone I am actually right or, failing that, they'll just give up calling me out for the fool i have made mysef look and turn to another subject'.

I meant two central strikers. I don't think Walcott or Ox will be played in that role any time soon. If we could have picked up a player like Remy (not with his current controversy) for under 10 mill to back up our main signing Higuan? that would add depth, Giroud could than play CC and FA cup. At the moment I don't think we could rely on Giroud if we want to compete for trophies so when Higauin would be out we would still be thin without a second striker IMO.

I do believe we could do with a real left winger since I don't think Cazorla should spend too much time there and I am not crazy about Pod. It seems when Pod gets substituted Walcott moves to the left and Ox to the right wing. Does this mean Wenger would not try Ox as left winger? Ox could do a job on the wings and and I would like to see more of him next season.

'I would prefer if we got Fellani. He's more like a Vieira than Diaby will ever be.'

Judged solely on Johns past record of player analysis, may I suggest you all get down the bookies and stick a large sum on Diaby finally avoiding injury, and being lauded as so Vieira like, Vieiras mum gets them mixed up.

    Hey Colyn bud,

Not quite sure I understand completely.. Obviously Wigan are under the microscope these past few weeks, but players like Maloney, Kone and Mcmanaman are the popular names, whereas Espinoza is one I've known for some time, for coming from the MLS and seeing him play in the EPL, so I was mentioning for those who didn't know, and one I really do think could be had for a shrewd buy and do a great job. Contrary to the comments above, he is a central defensive midfielder and has been for some time, he just happens to possess the pace and ability to play as a left wing back too, and quite well..

It doesn't really matter if his name is out there or the media are on it does it? They don't really, actually decide his price? If they can, then so can we, right here on this board. If they say Mcmananaman, who I'm not interested in, is worth 6M, then I say Espinoza is worth 3M because he's too good for the Championship..

It's all the same story as everyone in the universe knowing we've had scouts at Ajax all season watching one of presumably 3, Eriksen, Alderweideld (who's at Roma now) and Fischer the wonder kid.. doesn't matter that everyone knows, only matters who we want, and what the club wants.

I can toss out all sorts of names I like for CDM, starting with Nemanja Matic, who you'll all see in today's Europa match for Benfica. Ironically Chelsea basically gave him away for free in the David Luiz deal w/ Benfica, and now everyone knows his name.. So if anyone is reading this message, I guess his value just went up?

Sorry if I misinterpreted what you meant, I think you know me by now that I'm always tossing names out, but I'm not going to just toss out bizarre names that have no rationale, or the media are blind to

Arteta's absence could be is a worry IMO. He brings a lot of experience and it might break the team's rhythm if we have to play Wilshire instead. Don't think we have other player who could fill his role.

You tell us John! Gosh, you're worth it!

Still, it has to be said, it must be a lonely life you lead, sitting all alone, watching games at the Emirates.

What with you being the only person that actually attends games.
