Hard lines about the 0 - 1 loss at Cardiff but surely if Toshack doesnt consider Savage after that performance I dont think he ever will, he'd (Savage) have mixed it about a bit better and flustered the England players and reduced the possesion stats.

Still chuffed we've turned you lot over twice though.

Amazing how everyone with a habit/substance abuse problem these days is the victim of bad genes. Bad genes my arse, he was a pisspot. Drinking, like smoking and any other number of habits is exactly that... a habit. As far as I am aware, the only people who genuinely cannot deal with alcohol because of a physiological problem are North American indians, as they (genetically) lack the enzyme to break down the alcohol in the way that everyone else does.

As far as i am concerned he was and still is the greatest footballer of all time...as a man...not so great...but i still love him and i'm a bloody W.B.A. fan...God Bless you Georgie and your family of fans that were totally immersed in your talent.

Realistically, who's gonna stay? Half of those who probably think they're good enough to play at a higher level will be a bit surprised when noone comes in for them. There's only Gera and possibly Davies worth buying, plus possibly Wallwork for one of the promoted/bottom half sides.

If we hang on to Kuszak, Robinson, Davies, Wallwork, Greening & Inamoto at a push, plus Ellington we've got a decent spine to the side but we need to add some width, especially on the left. Camara can cause problems with his pace but he really does drive me up the wall with his finishing.

Koumas for Jerome would be a good shout as well.

I have been reading another site called team talk, i much prefer the fans on this one ! They are all calling for protests on Monday at the game, white flag waving, turning our backs when the players run out ! I had to turn off the WM phone in last week as i nearly crashed shouting at the radio, 'i've ben a seaon ticket holder since i was 6, i'm not getting one if Robson is still manager next season !'. All i have to say to these boo boys is #$%$ off and watch another team then ! I am as gutted about this season as the next fan, but lets get it into perspective, no one has died, there's always next season and what about the players getting some blame too...it's them that actually under performed on the pitch !

hey dont get me wrong, I agree that Ellington is not our best striker and I guess that Phillips and Kamara are our two best options when they are fit and available. I would also not be disappointed if Ellington goes in January, however if he has been picked to play i feel any negative vibes from the fans doesnt do him any good.

Yeah I could let Davis go he certainly would bring the bank manager to the door smiling. We would't get so much for Watson, even though his profile on Skysports shows he cost us 4 million and he was out of contract! Thats a million more than Earnshaw or Ellington. He's a good player but 4 mil, is a bit steep. Everton only bought him for 2.5.

Hartson says he won't go, but Ellington would bite your hand off to leave, I think he doesn't like the place he's not scored so many (partially because Robson has had the ball hoofed up the pitch all the time) he's not in the premiership and doesn't seem to want to work to get back, and the fans get on his back and slag him off.

    I agree 100%.

I'm rather worried that we have a kid as a captain, and one who seems to want to moan that expectations are high, rather than get stuck in. Maybe Curtis would enjoy life more while warming the subs bench somewhere, like Kuschzak does at Man U?

I've got news for Curtis - no matter where you play, expectations will be high. Fans demand nothing less than 100% effort and commitment. If you can't give 100% or aren't up to the challenge, clear off somewhere else mate.

The real class players we had years ago like John Wile, Jeff Astle, Bomber Brown, Super Bob, Cyrille Regis etc. just got stuck in and gave nothing short of 100% every time they played.

Well its easier to blame the manager, but if Peace wont give the manager the money, then he can only make do with wot he has. And if half of wot the manager has dont wanna play n noone else wants em then the sack seems somewot inevitable.
Id so love to know exactly wot was said between peace n robson when he left...bet it was exactly the same as the comments here.
Peace has brought stability to the club but seems at the cost of its ambition...or should i say the ability to reach its ambition.
    Question is...wots the answer?

Pay per play. I like it. Every minute you play you collect 1/90th of your weekly wage. That would certainly get a lot more vying to be in the squad. Unpaid holidays wouldn't go amis either. 1 goal/10 crosses/10 blocks & tackles gets you a bonus of the minimum wage added on. Maybe we should put the manager and chairman on the same structure. Fans do hold the majority of the shares...

Koumas is pure class - when things are going well - and now that he's started to score goals freely he's our best player by a long way...

It's interesting how there haven't been too many rumours swirling around him during the transfer window. He has a reputation of being an 'awkward' player. He wouldn't do what Robson wanted - e.g track back when needed - and I guess his unwillingness to stick to the game plan led to the friction between him and the ex-gaffer.

I always thought it was madness to sell him to Cardiff. We'd be mid-table now if it wasn't for his goals, his touches and his vision. My only reservation is that he sometimes tends to go a.w.o.l when we're losing. When we're on top he often looks invincible. When we're behind he's sometimes invisible.

...touch wood we go up the less said about champions the better. Anything will do me.

I have also defended Ellington as I would any player of ours we need to give our confidence not knock them.

Ellingon's attitude has been shockingly poor, I hope he gets a loan out of the place cos I can't imagine he's very popular at the moment. If you cry to the teacher expect to get bullied. The only reason he hasn't been in the team is he doesn't score and he doesn't create goals. If you scored duke you'd play, every week! What we got now ain't broke so...

On the Thompson front, this is another reason I want Peace out sooner rather than later. If we get promoted Peace please leave on a high. I want us to have real Premiership players all through the team, the only way is to pay Prem wages. I want to say Peace out but it sounds like an American hippy leaving. Peace out, not peace out.

Hate to correct people, but us (The small people) do NOT own 60% of the club. Peace is the owner of a company that owns over 90% of the club, hence when they purchased over 90% they legally had to make an offer for all remaining shares. When this offer was received it had a letter attached off peace saying he did not want to buy the remaining 10%!!

Jeremy Peace views this as a business venture (Much the same as souness does at the dingles), he wants to get us promoted on a shoestring before the money alters.

I will never support a player who has never acknologed the crowd when he scores (Thats you Mr Ellington), remember phillips reaction after luton? Compare that with ellingtons after preston.

I agree, chaplow has improved vastly, however, he continues to needlessly give the ball away, carter on the other hand is far more productive and attacking, against wolves, (who are an improved team in the 6 weeks since we last kicked there ass)i would play koumas in a more attacking position, with Gera and Greening on the wings with Carter in the middle. Gonna be a close game, a 6 pointer.

The commentry made a great point on the Albion World commentry last night (my time). Where the hell was the brains in the team we kept trying the same thing all running in straight lines all night. For 10 grand a week (at least) they should be clever as well as just fit.

No one was controlling the defence, although Robinson couldn't because of the 9 yellows. Sodje should have been off as soon as he was injured because from then on chaos ensued as noone knew if he could or couldn't cover.

We haven't had a Roy Keane style powerhouse in midfield since McInnes 4 years ago. Someone who "takes the game by the scruff of the neck". Name any current player who tackles back, provides accurate crossfield balls, constructive forward balls and runs all day. Could you apply that to any of our midfielders?? Maybe 1 attribute to each player.

Do we have anyone who can go past 2 or 3 players? Maybe Kamara but he was sick, so why put him on the bench? If he was so sick stay home.

The best player was Hodgkiss because as well as playing the defensive roll:
1, He looked like he wanted to be there and win
2, He used his brain and didn't just run at the 8 or 9 players across the 18 yard line and he crossed the ball and got around the back.

Our players never immagined that trying to flick the ball over or have a shot from in front of the 18 yard line for the hundredth time might not work. Greening always makes it look hard work to go past one person let alone 2 or 3.

Koumas hasn't played despite being on the pitch since having his ego inflated with player of the year.

With Greening in the middle, Koren on the right and Koumas on the left plus Albrectsen and Robinson good crossers of the ball, why were the best crosses coming from Hodgkiss
Why were the 2 forwards standing on the left wing to receive the ball, what is Koumas thinking? They haven't just come for a chat.

The ref didn't help but we have to help ourselves first.

    Hang on a moment.....
I thought we had the best team in the division at the start of Mowbray's reign.
    What has changed?
Nothing....Except his bombastic style of management which has killed our lads' love of playing for the Baggies.
Change the manager for someone who can regenerate true spirit and passion.
This is the team I followed from my youth and I want them to succeed in the future.
If we get the right man, we will get the right results, and the money will follow.
Can we afford Sam Allardyce? A Black Country lad to boot!

well yes, Nigel, I was amazed, I thought Koumas was ambitious... but Wigan by the Sea?, (well they have got a pier haven't they?), and a team full of 'has beens' and 'never will be's', like Emile Heskey...on that note, thank god for Wigan, they gave us £5.5M for that donkey Anyway, it's only 2 relegation spots to worry about next year now Wigan stay up for another year.

I wonder if Koumas will want to come back to the Baggies next season when you swop places with Wigan????
