Maybe, now, you realise that the Preston game was a shop window for the guy.
If we had wanted to motivate him to the same degree in previous games, maybe the club should have invited Wigan representatives to come to those games as well! -

What chance does Melton have of getting Albion into the top half of the table this season? The only players, except Kevin, who got us to the play-offs leave, to be replaced by Oxfam buys, things are so bad that even the Welsh wind bag appears again. If the Manager was allowed to do what he's good at, cultivating youngsters, his time or his patience would run out. Either he'd be fired before the job was done or the Chairman would be selling 'em as soon as they showed promise.
Time to transfer the Chairman? -

The bargain basement can't open soon enough, move the has-beens and non-achievers on and then put a side on the pitch that want to play for the Baggies not themselves.

Ten points adrift at this stage and losing at home to a side depleted by serious injury problems, the changes in the odds may be justified if the new Man can't get control of the changing room. Leave it to the players he says, that echos the departed guy. Since when has a football team run a club? Except into a brick wall. Shake up, shape up and clear out the passengers.

So flying 'em to work doesn't produce a win. Maybe they should walk to a few away games. It would reduce the excess weight of some and wake up those who wander about in a dream.
Away matches are exposing those who shouldn't be at the Hawthorns for too long in 2007. It'll take a good salesman to get rid of some of the bad buys. -

The replacement has to be Mr Motivation, with a large group of wannabes and cast-offs, the new guy has to find 15-18 who can work together and then point them in the right direction. Most of all he has to have something to prove, to himself. Robson had done it all before he arrived and the fire had gone out.

The players he took on couldn't even manage to take a point from the bottom of the table side. On the understanding that Mr P. wants him to sell before he buys, he's not going to be able to buy the "finished article". He's going to have to go for more "developers".
On recent performances it's going to take some pushing to clear the passengers out. Melton has an impossible job cleaning out the hutch and trying to keep in the top half. The bookies had it right in October when they lengthened the odds on promotion. -

A cuckoo on a throstle's patch? Unlikely Carpetbaggers at the Baggies. Far more likely.

With the "must sell to buy" policy poor old Melton should be worried about standing up. The overvalued passengers in the dressing room are now proving unattractive at the price tags around their necks or are not causing any interest at all. As was predicted it will take a good salesman to shift many of the hangers-on.
The total of all the fees received for transfers this month wouldn't buy a decent player.
Equally the boss has not yet cleaned out the disruptive "player power" element in the changing room, its time that he opened a bargain basement so that the has-beens on the pitch become have beens at the club.
