My mistake.Was driving home from night shift when Beaky and Brazil (i think) on talk sport said he had signed.Apperently Spurs would have to smash their wage structure to match the 75k West Ham are reported to have offered him,and i can't see them doing that.They also have Kean,Defoe and one Berbatov so do they need another striker?.Don't get me wrong,Bent was good and might be again but for a player who is only a part time England first teamer when it's a friendly and every other striker is injured or rested...£17 million is the most inflated price i have seen for a long time. As for winding up the Geordies!!!! Don't know what you mean.For some reason when i try to point a different point of view accross Magpie man,Jabber Boy and some guy called Davey who follows me round the boards seem to take offence.
