Isn't that what is currently happening in the English Premier League, devon? Many referees are now scared to give the correct decisions against manUre as seen in the last two games at Old Trafford against Fulham and QPR?

You're having a laugh.............
Wigan hard done by again against Man U.
Dowd will be very embarrassed when he sees that again..... very contentious decision to reduce Wigan to 10-man. -

" Carrick, Berbatov, Ferdinand and to a certain extent Giggs - when he plays in the centre - all have a tendency to slow the tempo down."
I think you've been unreasonable in your criticism of your old players Devon. Comparing Cleverley who (by the way) still has youth on his side to your elderly players is a non-starter (imho).
Carrick - 30
Berbatov - 31 (at the end of the month)
Ferdinand - 33
Giggs - 38
You don't expect this lot to be able to cover the same amount of grass as the youngster Cleverley surely. -

It's a cup competition and luck of the draw come into play as already stated.
Weren't Birmingham City and Pompey relegated in the same season they won a cup competition? -

Just read this latest news from the QPR hierarchy ...........
QPR chief executive Phil Beard labelled Young a diver and likened him to British Olympic diver Tom Daley in a Twitter post that was re-tweeted by QPR majority shareholder Tony Fernandes.
"Difficult to take after watching numerous replays but Ashley Young could partner Tom Daley at the Olympics #QPR," he wrote.
QPR director Ruben Emir Gnanalingam was also aggrieved, pointing to the fact Young also appeared to be offside in the lead-up to the incident, adding: "It was offside and a dive by Young! Alex Ferguson's luck with calls continues. Just wish there was video technology!"
Fernandes replied to that tweet, saying: "Awful. Spoilt another game."
Very strong words being used above, another tainted title methinks. -

I thought Moses headed goal was legit.
And, for some explicable reason manUre ended the match with 11 men, a manUre defender should have seen red and deservedly so for a reckless 2nd yellow card offence committed on Wigan player. -

I watched a hard fought La Liga game involving Real Madrid at home to Real Sporting yesterday, and Real were made to fight for the 3 points against their opponent. Even the best team in the world Barca were very lucky with a last minutes winner against Levante yesterday.
It got me thinking wow, this is the way it should be, a very competitive league helps every team involved.
Average teams like Aston Villa add nothing to the EPL, in actual fact they dumb down the standards as reflected in EPL teams poor showing against some of the weaker side in Europe this season.
I hope Villa along with other poor sides Clive highlighted in his thread during the week go down. -

"Scored one and made another as Dortmund lead 3-1 at half time. "
Very poor defending by Bayern on both occasion, Kagawa didn't have to do much for his chances.
I'd expect a decent prem team to defend better. Can't fault Kagawa for effort though, runs around a lot which has its benefit as it creates panick in opposing side's defence. -

Does a miscued shot by Valencia from City's 6 yard box which hit the corner flag count as 'a shot on target' William? hehehehe!!!
