Manchester United Message Board
This season's title race is shaping up to be the best title race in recent seasons mainly due to the improved tactical quality of teams like Swansea, Southampton, Cardiff, Newcastle and Everton. Many lower placed sides in the division are now willing to take greater risks in games by having their full backs push high up and pressed the top sides unlike before, and this newly found confidence in their own abilities have been richly rewarded.
Whichever of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool win it this season, they would have done so DESERVEDLY, I HOPE for our sake that it's Arsenal who come up trumps in May 2014.

"If you looked at most of our players you would of find the same sort of thing."
Is that why your beloved ManUre are 9th in the table below the Spud

I'm not a Giroud fan either, and I think you would struggle to find any Arsenal fan who believes that he's our long-term solution in the striking department.
I think Wenger sees Giroud as a stopgap measure until we find adequate replacement. Giroud can hold his own against the lesser sides, but sadly he isn't the sort of strikers who can make all the difference in tight games against the big guns as we have seen thus far.

Hey Rikki, isn't it time you sling yer hook for good as clearly everyone on this forum detest you.
Surely you're not too thick to know that you're held in contempt by all the regular board users on here. You don't discuss footie per se, you only come here to post your incessant filth and try and wind-up the regulars.
Could there be a more despicable person on earth than this piece of trash known as Rikki?...... Rhetorical question btw, we all know the answer to that.

Over 120 minutes, a fantastic performance and well deserved win by the Wearsiders.
They need to start picking up points especially at home for their league survival sharpish.
Well done Sunderland and Poyet

'mind games' my @r5e, Rikki!
You have nothing to back that 5hyte up as you're not privy to his innermost thoughts.
Unless you have a valid logical explanation to prove that Boateng didn't mean it as reported by the media, your mind games theory is a fanciful notion.
But WHY do you care about the Premier League LEADERS' CL qualification chances so much? Haven't you got enough to contend with already, e.g. Spud being a shyte team this season and your pathetic average ManUre side still below them in the league table? He he!
Whatever happens in the ties between Bayern and Arsenal, I can guarantee you now that we will be back in the CL competition next season, you can't say the same about your AVERAGE #$%$ side can you Rikki?

Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng admitted: "They're the toughest opponents we could have had. They'll be totally up for it after what happened last year. Both matches will be very intense."
Hey 'virus-mad Rikki, take note son!

We have 2 months ahead before the first leg of the Round of 16 matches between the English Premier League LEADERS and the Bundesliga League leaders, anything could happen between now and then. Who knows for sure the sort of side Bayern would be fielding against the league LEADERS, Rikk? Nobody knows if Robben would be available or still crocked for the Germans in that match? We don't know if Ribery would be available for them. The message I'm trying to convey to you is it's way too early to nail your colours to the mast. There are too many things we don't know just yet which could impact match: injuries, lack of form, etc, etc.

Bayern Munich 3-3 Arsenal ...... As you can see there was nothing to separate the two sides last time around. The eventual European Champions (Bayern) went through on AWAY goals aggregate, JUST!
Oh, and that was when Arsenal were very poor in defending last season, and no Ozil and Flamini in the side, and no revitalised Ramsey. The EPL league LEADERS are a different kettle of fish this season as their strong league position shows and a better side all round than the team Bayern edged on the away goal rules.
Yes, Bayern are the clear favourites to go through but favourites don't always win football matches as Galatasaray demonstrated in their win against Juve. Write Arsenal off at your peril, Rikki.
Comical Ali more like....... what a dunce!
"Saturday’s match in Manchester was also unusual in that it could have gone another way had Arsenal not been on the wrong end of a trio of dubious offside calls, a trio of poor Olivier Giroud misses, and a rejected penalty appeal when Pablo Zabaleta handled in the box at 3-1 – although it did seem accidental, those are often given."

What game were you watching, Rikki? Surely not the above game, and I won't be surprised if you had your dunce hat on during the game, mid-table fodder.
If he was half as good as Walcott today, we'd have beaten City away... his poor finishing in the final third cost us the game coupled with uncharacteristic poor play by some of us players, Wlshere anyone? Sagna can be forgiven for being ring rusty, but what's the excuse for others.... Disappointed that we made City looked deadly...they ain't.
Apparently he's pulled a sickie for a further one month having just returned from injury treatment table at Carrington.
Looks like a 1 season wonder for Man U injury-wise........... rotten lucky eh!
Shrek would have to carry the can on his own.......
On what Man U need to climb the table from their mid-table surroundings, Dai Dunga from Sao Luis, Brasil wrote ........
"Moyes needs to sign some big names in the January transfer window. Webb, Clattenburg, and Jonathan Moss; can't win the league on their own."
Makes me chuckle, lol!
