    I would like to think that rather than " get on with it " we could mark time (Yes we have been doing). NOT let Wise bring in a load of 30 whatevers, and get the ownership of the club sorted out quickly and then the present incumbents go back down the M1 and be never heard of again in West Yorkshire... maybe I am dreaming ?

    You dead right about them and us ! I would show my bare %$£ on Leeds Town Hall steps if ever one of them came on to this board and made a few worthwhile comments. Strange as it may seem, if I were in their shoes, I would actually be anxious to know what the fans feelings were. This leads me on to a little story ( Oh no ! ) About 10 years ago I went to the Sheffield Arena to a Motown spectacular, with my ex brother in law and his now wife. He got the tickets, quite how I do not know but we were at the front right centre of the stage. He is a huge Four Tops fan, the said act came on and Levi Stubbs who died just a few weeks ago was stood about 8 feet in front of us mike in hand.The brother in law shouts "How do Levi " Stubbs shields his eyes from the light glare and peers down, spots said brother in law and says " How you doin brother". Course brother in law says he remembers me. I take this with a pinch of salt until he explains he has been to about a dozen concerts with the Four Tops and he always got to the front at some part of the concert and always attracted Levi's attention.
    So, this has nothing to do with Leeds United but does show that you can have a rapport with your idols !

But, he was certainly an intelligent player, maybe that will be evident in his coaching skills.Alas, as you rightly say, never did much with Coventry City.Look on the bright side, I do not think he can be any worse than Wise who, was like a fish out of water without Poyet. I wonder if he wants/can bring back Eddie as coach ? Is that too much to ask ...........
