    I used to dream about running my boots under the hot tap. I used to put my boots on in the pavillion which was -20C, stiff as boards they were, the other players that is, not just the boots. Then I'd go outside the pavillion and stand in a bucket of icy water just to soften em up. Then I'd have to run around non stop for 90 minutes to stop them freezing up again.

    Try telling that to the kids today and they won't believe you!!!

    But I'm telling the truth, I swear.

    As usual, Old Fan has summed it up pretty well. Quite why Spursbabe is so anti Corluka is beyond me. Yes Hutton is better (quicker) going forward he is no defender. What was missing was Lennon and Corluka links with him quite well and is much better defending. The real problem was that the whole team was well below par. Defoe had his worst game of the season, Modric is nowhere near back to his best yet, Jenus - no comment, Keane - he has lost it.

    Give Pav one last try, though I think it is now too late. Either use Pav, Bentley, Dos Santos or flog 'em. One thing is for sure, their value is not going to increase by remaining Tottenham rejects, so either use em and hope their potential is realised or bite the bullet and accept the first half decent offer that comes along.

    Also, there are many fans saying we need another top class CM and I wouldn't disagree but that would take a lot of cash and I'm not sure we have it. It's no coincidence that there have been no big money deals this January - everyone's skint. And are the Gerrards, Fabregas, Lampards or even Darren Fletchers of this world going to come to Spurs while we remain outside the top 4.

    Catch, Chicken, Cart, Egg, 22 and Horse spring to mind!!

    I think part of Harry's problem is that we are almost a good team and very close to securing forth. In some ways it would be easier to be mid table, safe from the drop and out of the reckoning for europe. I'm sure then he would tinker with the team. But he has got where we are by keeping the same team (Ledders being the exception)and we are so close and yet so far. I think we have to accept that we have the odd weak spot, most teams do. The trick is getting everyone playing for each other and I didn't see that last night. Trouble is, Belief and Confidence can't be bought in a bottle, you have to grow it yourself.

    Not the true Spurs way, I know, but needs must at this stage of the season. So let Palicious crunch him & get a yellow in time to be back for the three big games, He won't avoid being carded before the end of the season, so it just as well be at a time and place of our choosing.

    Unless that would mean missing the cup match against Fulham, in which case he should save it and crunch Zamora instead, it'll serve him right for being useless while at Spurs.

    I agree with the injury situation, we do seem to get more than our fair share, but maybe it's just one of those quirks that happens from time to time. Perhaps next year we will have far fewer.

    If not, we should be looking to improve our medical team, so we may yet see you return to dear old blighty. What sort of salary would entice you or would you do it just for the glory?

    Me, I'm just a technical manager for a building firm..... perhaps I could help out with the new stadium.

    We have taken forever to solve the left side. We now have a player who can do that job, great attacker but knows his defensive duties too, as well as drop to left back if needed.

    It would be sheer lunacy to sell. When SAF comes knocking tell him to fcuk right off, Bale's not for sale......at any price.

    That said, I have a sneaky feeling he likes it here and will stay, at least as long as we continue to progress and I think we will.
