    ....that is what the public want....and if you are a true fan you admit if a team is worth praising....you have some superb players ....players with flair....envy is in me ...i used to alternate between chelsea and spurs years ago....but can't attend either now....bot i remember the old north stand(more like the north face of the eiger.lol)....walking down to your seat in that narrow steep aisle....frightenening....i wanted a parachute....yeh i remember
    mccreadie,cooke,hateley osgood webb etc

    over the years are....greavsy.mackay.blanchflower.jennings,klinsmann,john white,england,gilzean....cliff jones,knowles.....bennett burgess and bailey(that shows my age...)....started supportingthem in 1948 when they were in the old 2nd division
    ....cycled up from Hayes and went into the boys enclosure....and been a spurs fan ever since....they have given me a lot of grey hairs and wrinkles along the way
    ....but they are the only team for me....COYS

    there is a story told by blanchflower about greavsy....nicholson always moaned that he did...

    Hoddle was the same ....he didn't have to sweat ....but they wanted to see him run around like lesser mortals....the spurs manager left him alone ...let him play his way....but stupid greenwood and robson didn't get the best out of him....pity
    do you remember that world cup game when wilkins wasc sent off and by necessity hoddle became the midfild general....he made england come alive....unlike 'crab'

    i agree .....another diabolical decision....he was 35 yards away ....not a clear view and he crumbled.....see my post on dodgy penalty decisions at old trafford where the refs have succumbed to home pressure.at least 10 of them.......yes we will never what the outcome would have been if the penalty had not been given....but it hurts....and he is in charge of the cup final!!....gomes got the ball and carrick's momentum cannoned him into gomes.....now they admit it was a wrong decision can the yellow card be rescinded?
