Linda's point about taking your time is well made (although given that you are American she perhaps should have said pinning your "colors" to the mast and not colours.....)

Don't just follow Man Utd because they are currently the top side (perhaps in the world). Either pick a side with whom you can make a connection or pick a side that play watchable football.

As for the Nazi's - maybe there is simply some mistake. Maybe they are just supporters of new-Labour.

It appears that we have another brainless wonder on this board - bty67547. You really are missing the point of what I said. I said that I used to be a part-timer because I (and I will shout this in order that you might just possibly understand) COULDN'T AFFORD TO ATTEND MANY MATCHES.

I am now a full timer with season ticket although even when I attended part time I didn't moan if we lost because that is all part of the game.

How sad it is to see better off arseholes like you having a go at the less fortunate - those who can't afford to go every week because they have to feed the family and who save up week after week to have that rare pleasure of watching their team. who in their right mind could blame them for going to the bigger games? It is better to have part timers who attend every so often to have crowds of 15,000+ than simply have a core of 10,000 full timers every game.

It seems to me that the people who you need to have a go at are the d*ckheads who are currently having a go at the team and the manager and unsettling them and making their job all the harder (although maybe you are one of these). To those fans I would say STOP WHINGING AND START CHEERING.

There, I have now finished my rant for the day - thankyou bty67547 for being such a #$%$ that I had the opportunity to get this off my chest (38C by the way).

    Love

    Fluffy.

Can Preston have David Healy back? I mean he is probably the only Championship class player you have and he isn't going to want to spend the next season with Leeds at the bottom of league 1 is he?

Shame that we didn't make Cardiff. But then Leeds came to Deepdale with a clear intention to kick North End off the pitch and they nearly succeeded. I have not seen a team play in such a dirty way for many years. Just a pity that we conceded 2 soft goals - if we hadn't then we could have had 30 minutes of extra time against 9 men.

As for the new season - hopefully we will still have Billy, Calude and Nugent. Not to sure about holding on to the last one though.... If we can now strengthen the side with a few good signings then we might be able to do even better next season.

Any Preston North End fan out there must have breathed a sigh of relief when Billy Davies didn't go to Charlton. However, once again hearts are in mouths as it now appears that there is a bust up between Davies and chariman Derek Shaw over the request from Derby County to speak to Billy.

It seems to me that PNE are going to find this close season tough enough with the threat of losing key players such as Claude Davies and Dave Nugent, without driving the manager away.

Surely, if we are to progress next season, the board should be doing everything it can to keep Billy on side, including agreeing to protect valuable assets, such as Nugent, and providing funds for new players?

I accept that the club can contractually stop Billy from talking to Derby etc. but if it can provide Billy with money etc. then surely it can make his job here much more tempting than any other Championship club, so there would be little to fear from him talking to them.
