Napoli needed to beat Arsenal by 3 goals, Arsenal didn't need to score to qualify, that is what showed in our game last night. The lads were taking it easy and Napoli finally managing to score two after Arteta went off means feck all.
It would have been a lot better to have won the group but this group was so tight that was always going to be on a knife edge. Hell, all the Arsenal haters were predicting the team wouldn't get out of the toughest group in the CL, instead the job was done and dusted before the difficult Napoli away fixture.
City is probably the toughest away fixture Arsenal have in the Prem this season, if we lose, it really will not be a surprise and with the 6 point lead we have built over them, we'll still have 3 points to our advantage. If we manage a win (unlike Manpoo! How many goals!?!?! PMSL) then all is good.
It must grate you somewhat Rikki

Do you honestly believe anyone will bother reading your post? BORING!!!
I note you are writing even less about football related topics than ever (and it has ALWAYS been a RARE occurrence. And never worthwhile reading either come to think of it).

Doesn't EVERYBODY know that!
Said it all when one of the refs (can't remember who) let slip he was texting Fergie for advice FFS!!!
What an absolutely disgraceful state of affairs.
Wenger was bang on when he commented refs being 'missed' at OT now Fergie has gone.
Apparently the glory boys that actually attend games (none of you then!), were booing the new manager after the LOSS to NEWCASTLE (Howay the geordies!).
Great 'support' GLORY boys!!!

Everton were the most difficult side I have seen Arsenal play so far this season, great passing game and they did indeed look as though they were the home side for the majority of the first half,Arsenal came good at the end of the half and finished with more shots on target than the visitors. I though our defence held steady against a real bashing.
Second half Arsenal were the better side for me, especially after the triple substitution. A draw was about right. Everton certainly didn't 'deserve' the win but i'll grant they played well enough for the point. Still gutted the lads didn't manage to see the game out after a wonderfully worked Ozil goal.
No shame in ManU and Chelsea losing to Everton!?!?! After the tens of millions they have spent building their squads!?!?!

Absolutely bad taste using the death of Mandela as a tool for yet more diatribe.
Still...one has come to expect this from Rikki.
Three games in 7 days, Everton (playing well), Napoli (crucial CL game away!) and Man City await the lads this week. I think it will be a tall order to win all three and am resigned to losing to City at least, mainly because of their fantastic home form and the fact that the fixture comes so close to having travelled half way around the world to play Napoli. I hope the lads get good results elsewhere and that, if they do not, then they are at least able to pick themselves up to fight in the next game. Both Napoli and Everton are tough cookies.

It could be argued that Arsenal have already played tough games without key players, or at least players that were seen as 'key' before others stepped up to the plate (think Ramsey over Wilshere, or Flamini over Arteta, or Mertesaker over Vermalean).
Nowt wrong with Bendtner or Adebayor apart from their own willingness to apply themselves fully.
Adebayor is capable or ripping teams to shreds and Bendtner played one hell of a part when Arsenal beat Barca and , he left the pitch to a standing ovation last night.
Those two are their own worst enemies IMO.
True Hull are not supposedly too tough an opponent, yet they beat Lpool easily and Arsenal have been better on the road than at home in recent times (due to the w**ker home 'supporters' who slate their own and then wonder why the team is underperforming! The mind boggles).

........alternatively.....I could ask you................. incredibly well disguised one.......
......how many points behind Arsenal are ManU....?
Incredible goals from the Arsenal target tonight. I don't think I have ever seen four goals of such quality, in one game, from one player.
Can you imagine Ozil supplying the ammo?
Sign him up Arsene!

Arsene made 5 changes to the starting line up tonight against Hull (both full backs, two in midfield and Bendtner on) and in all honesty, that is the best I've seen the team play all season.
