Personnal I'm behind Sturrock all the way. I just remember a while back hearing a couple people saying he should go. Apparently they thought he lacked the experience at this level. In my opinion he's an excellent manager who has succeeded so far. Fingers crossed we can avoid relegation this season and then build on it.
My only concern is Sturrock seems to look to previous teams for new transfer targets, e.g. Southampton (Folly, Best, Kenwyn-Jones) and Plymouth (Adams) etc. I'm sure that this is down to the finances and not wanting to take a risk on someone. After all he has far more in-depth knowledge about these players after working with them day-to-day.
An experienced back-up keeper is a priority too, hmmm.... what's the name of that keeper at St. Mary's? Smith? Poke? Bialkowski?

A change of board might be nice but we're still in fragile financial position (even if there's rumours we're about to announce a £1.5million profit). Any new board needs to be financially well stacked otherwise there's no point.

I've heard plenty of discussion about whether we need a change of manager but can we do better than Sturrock? The chance of a timely "new manager boost" and the usual upturn in fortunes that accompany it would be lifesaving but would it be better in the long term?

Seems that MacLean made a positive impression at Scunthorpe and Laws seems keen to get him involved in the first team. To be fair tho, he does look like a very good player again and can only improve as his sharpness returns. I think Burton looks v.good, just needs more goals, he was excellent when he came on against Sunderland, his link up is very good at times. Tudgay I think might struggle to get goals consistantly at this level, but he is pacy and everyteam needs a pacy striker. New signing Clark looks like he is our new Target man (for Brunt to aim at). Altogether now we seem to have a nice mix of players, a targetman (Clark), a good link up front men (Burton & MacLean), a player with the pace to turn defences (Tudgay) and a goal poacher (MacLean).

Just looking at the official site and there is a Squad number allocated to "Christopher Boden" but who is he????
Where did we sign him from and when? (There isn't a very good profile for him). Is he a good player? -

Looking at the good understanding burton and tudgay have developed, and the goal return tudgay is getting from that partnership, do you think old sturrock favourite steve maclean will get much of a look in? Or is this the beginning of the end for our favourite striker?
