I thought we were talking about the first question: Reporter: Why do you think it is, every other manager apart from you and Pellegrini every other manager is saying no, we can't win the title, we're not contenders?
You don't think Moureen has been trying to deflect attention from his own team by branding City and Arsenal as favorites? You don't think that now that Chelsea are in first it looks even less convincing for him to say they are not amongst the favorites?
You a funny dude.
I spoke to the Vicar and he assured me Arsenal had a chance to win against Bayern. Myself, I am pretty sure he is looking through is red and white tinted glasses. I think we would need a miracle to progress to the next round and more likely it will come down to how badly we will lose. I don't think there will be much shame in this since I think Bayern are the best team in the world.
I also think with our squad having been thinned out considerably that it will be blessing in disguise if we get knocked out.
For me there is only upside potential tomorrow because realistically we have to expect the worst and hope for the best.
Anyone believe we can surprise the football world and eliminate Bayern? (Maybe not a good sign the Vicar thinks we can)

I rather thought it proved beyond any doubt that Moureen was never mentioned?
Did you see this mornings papers in which Moureen goes after Barca? Calling them the worst Barca team in years? I wonder what he thinks they did to him other than avoid ever hiring him as manager? The guy has major issues.
- Govinda Govinda Feb 18, 2014 08:27 Flag
That's correct, but I had already told you there was no mention of Moureen in the question so I am not sure why you had to go and transcribe the prove of my point? Maybe you are more elegant than I gave you credit for.

Meltdown a bit??? Me saying Wenger is always right? hahaha!
Sooner of or later you will have to deal with your issues, they won't go away by themselves.
Or maybe to speak your language "Quack, quack!!!"

Glory hunting??? You make me laugh. Running out of insults? FYI If trophies equal glory than being a glory hunting Arsenal fan has been as successful over the last 8 years as looking for a reasonable post amongst all your posts over the same period.
Even the most optimistic Arsenal fan doesn't believe beating Liverpool in the 5th round of the FA cup amounts to glory. It is nothing more than a fact that we beat them.

I agree it could have been a penalty but I don't understand the relevance of the point. Are we saying refs never get any calls wrong? Are we saying Arsenal get more favorable penalty calls than other teams? Are we saying that was the only bad call by Webb?
We scored two goals from open play Liverpool would have needed 2 dumb penalties to tie the game and we would still have won the game because I am sure we would have scored a 3rd. We were the better team and made life a little difficult once we started to defend our lead making Liverpool look better than they were.
We won not sure if there is more of a story here than that.

You clearly didn't see the interview in which Wenger was asked why Pellegrini and Wenger were the only two managers willing to admit they had a chance at winning the PL. There was no mention of Moureen in the question and Wenger never spoke about Moureen.
I always thought it was bit weird you kept hanging around these boards clearly not being an Arsenal fan, and I understand it might be painful being a Man U fan at this point in time, but what is really sad to me is that you seem so consumed by hatred of all things Arsenal.
IMO anybody with any level of intellectual curiosity would have gotten bored out of their minds hanging around an other teams board spewing random poison all day long, year after year after year. I think this type of behavior can only be explained by deep rooted issues. You would do yourself and all of us a big favor getting to the bottom of these issues. These issues are the type of stuff that require lifetime after lifetime of reincarnation if you don't open your eyes.

It is hard for me to imagine that one manager can launch an unprovoked attack on a fellow manager and that this can be appreciated by anyone with a sound mind.

I think Moureen lost on this one and showed his lack of class. Pitty for a manager of his abilities. Wenger clearly came out on top on this one. Of the managers in charge of top clubs in the PL, on a human level, Moureen seems the least classy of them all IMO.

I think Fabianski was immense yesterday and I read an article stating he had been measured to have one of the quickest reaction times on record for keepers. I think he is a great shot stopper and proved that once again yesterday. He struggles a little with high crosses in the box, and had a big flap yesterday, playing teams like West Ham or Man U who basically don't do much more than areal bombardments into the box in the hope that one fall to one of their own players, this can be difficult. On the other hand I would imagine this is a skill that can be learned if he is given enough games.
I do think he seems less cocky by nature than the big pole and for a keeper being cocky is not a bad thing.
Not sure who I would choose Fabianski or the big pole. For now perhaps I would stay with the big guy but there is not a lot between them.

Read the whole thread and you will see that there were complaints about no second yellow for Stevie or the ridiculous first yellow for Flamini.
- Govinda Govinda Feb 17, 2014 07:08 Flag
It was a big win after a few poor games. Flamini's return made a big difference and I think Ozil working with a little more pace around him looked better as well.
In the end Liverpool would have needed 2 penalties, both claims in areas and situations that would very likely not have resulted in goals, to force a replay. Had Podolski not clumsily touched Suarez I don't think a goal would have followed. Same for the spot were Ox bunped into Suarez.
Wonder what this means for Wilshire, I mean at this point of time I would choose Ox over Wilshire, both in the center and on the wing.

I saw a stat the with him we win 73% of our games and without him 50%.
By the way Fabianski was great today, wasn't he?
And than to think we have so much room to improve. Lot of upside for us.
- Govinda Govinda Feb 16, 2014 18:26 Flag
Suarez is his own worst enemy acting like he got broken in half. How about Flamini's yellow? How about not giving Sturridge a yellow for pushing him, how about not giving Gerrard a second yellow for bringing down Ox? They guy is always horrible and I am sure both teams feel they have reason to believe so. Flamini was great. hope he will be able to be ready for Bayern or that we don't play him against Bayern. We need him for the PL.

The guy lacks class. Ran out of almost every town he went, in Madrid practically with tar and feathers, and he thinks he doesn't fail often?????? That's a joke. Needless to say he failed in his very next match.
I would like to see him go to a club where there is not a ready made champion team waiting for him. Like to see him manage Man U or an other squad with average talent and show us what he can do.

I don't want to keep harping on Giroud, but I will. It has been said before including by myself, it must be frustrating for Ozil to play for Giroud. Giroud should have put away more chances in recent games including last night. If we don't watch out we will demotivate Ozil to the extend he will be ready to leave after next season. He created many more more chances than Mata last night but no team mates to put them away.
Giroud might be tired and works hard for the team but we nedd players to put chances away and our striker should do that first and foremost. In absence of Ramsey and Walcott's goals we are suffering despite Cazorla's recent goals.
I have asked before but no one seems to know but I will ask again, does anyone understand why Wenger doesn't play Podolski more often? What does the the guy do wrong? Did we have anything to lose last night to put him in for Giroud the last 30 minutes? Wenger himself says "if the there is chance you want it to fall to Podolski.". We might as well sell the poor guy he is good player and if he does not fit in our "system" no need to keep him.
Let's hope there is no truth to us getting RVP back next season. Don't get me wrong the guy is or was a great striker but he is too old by the time next season comes around. We need a striker in his prime 25-27 years old.
Finally I think it is clear we miss leadership now that crazy Flamini has been out. He might need one game to get back into the swing of things but I can not wait to see how we do when he is back. Arteta is getting a little old and slow. We should buy an other Flamini or Patrick V. type leader for midfield this summer. Other than Mert and Flamini I don't see any strong character or leaders on our team. Wislhire might grow into it but is still too young.

We look, at the moment, like a team about to fall out of the top 4. Liverpool and Spurs seem to be pealing at the right moment and we are fading. Let's hope we can get back to playing good football instead of this disjointed stuff soon.
