The next 6 games will be season defining for Liverpool. If we lose the majority then the manager will justifiably come under some heavy flak but if we win them then everything will be hunkydoory. Benitez has spent £80m you say? I thought people were calling it £127m or something. Surely if people wanted to know where that money is now if we were to sell players what would they be worth? There is no way Torres wouldnt attain at least £45m if you wanted to sell and Masch likewise £25m. Our squad value is much higher then when Benitez came in so that argument is nonsense.

I think if we had a really strong team in the first palce then he could have just bought big money individual signings. If he had gone that route in the first place then the fans and board wouldnt have had patience with him. I think if we get decent investment the squad we have now just needs a really intricate attacker. We know Messi, Ronaldo, Kaka are all out of league but we need someone like that perhaps Silva, Mata, Gourcouff....I suppose it will have to be Benayoun for another year!

Well said again mate, when those games against Lyon and Fiorentina come up and they are 'must winners' then I am sure we will provide the goods. Man U this weekend is the biggest match of the season, or if you will, our first cup final. The squad depth issue isn't great but when we have our strongest 11 on the pitch our bench should look more like Cavalieri, Babel, Benayoun, Skrtel, Insua, Lucas and Voronin which is at least a bit usefull....
