Gutted.
sadly we lost to the better team today!
up untill the first goal we were doing ok,although they definatly had the edge, but it seems that as soon as we play crouch up front ,we seem to go for the long ball tactic which definatly doesn't work and have proved that we play better football when passing to feet and creating better chances.
sadly no one shone for us today and the subs didn't seem to have the desire to prove their worth.
it sometimes feels that we as fans have more desire and determination than the the players on the pitch,
perhaps harry and the boys should have a quick look at this website and it might just give them the inspiration they desberatly need, because sometimes it feels like, well i've earned another £50.000 so what the fcuk!
as for other results today,we got lucky and if we don't beat sunderland next week could well find our way down the slippery slop down the table to the joy of our slayers today!
and one more thing,
can we stop being so nice to the gooners.
you know they are revelling in every inch of thi win.
spurs for ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeffal -

EVENING FELLOW YIDS.
Happy days again at last.
Pretty much agree with most of whats been said with reference yo the game, though personally thought Rose was poor, especially his delivery.
Seemed like he didn't have the confidence to shoot or cross, although this could be due to a lack of playing time, but one that BAE would have enjoyed.
As has already been said ther were some good performances,Sandro,Walker,Lennon etc and was nice to see UNIT Kaboul back in action, almost starting to have the L.KING pressence.
Overall a decent performance and had it not been down to some sh1t shooting we could have had a hatfull.
On another note, just wondered how we would have dealt with either of the Maanchester sides last night which seemed very PHYSICAL which can sometimes win games, though is something we don't have in our locker?
Finally we go into our last 3 games with a good win under our belt and with Hodgeson taking the England job should give our boys something to play for(STAYING AT SPURS AND PLAYING CL FOOTBALL NEXT SEASON)
Staying focused, finngers crossed, bum cheeks tightly squessed and every other thing you can think of.

Evening ffellow Yids.
Your'e pretty much much spot on with what you saw and said LTS and as much as i hate to admit it,Chelsea always looked fairly comfortable during the 90mins, apart from the 10 or so mins in the second half as mentioned by Di Matteo in his post match interview when we went 2-1 up.
For me,this was the time for us to step it up a gear,to focus, stop giving the ball away cheaply and then go hunting for that next goal which i'm sure would have put this game to bed.
Sadly without the likes of Bale terrorising thier left flank and bringing in god knows what sot of challenges from denders and Dembeles' driving abilitys going forward then the result would have been different.
I spoke to a Chelsea fan today and he actually said how pleased he was to see Bale and Dembele not starting, which i'm sure was the same feeling for Di Matteo and his squad, exactly the same for us,had Mata and Hazard had not been playing and fair play to AVB for not blaming our loss on 20% of the favouered team missing.
Still would have liked to started with ADE and DEFOE up front which would have definately given more of the defence to cope with.
Lets just hope that when we meet them at the Bridge, they have two key players missing(and i don't mean hopalong Terry, but more like Mata,Hazard,Cole you get my drift)that the outcome will be totally different.
Chelsea are a team we no longer fear as proven over the last six years and although they're on a good run of form they definately caught us on a bad day, especially team wise.
Weekend ruined but moving on.

Morning John and fellow Yids.
Dissapointed with the final outcome yesterday, but at least we won, with another superb finish from Bale.
Although AVB mentioned the loss to Everton yesterday, for me it waqs the Fulham game that cost us, which i'm sure most of us(including the pundits) had for a Spurs home win and this is where that sort mental attitude of going into some games where we take our foot off the gas instead of going for the jugular.
Pretty much agree with the signings bit though as equally Glen Hoddle pointed out a couple of weeks ago.
I dare say we will have quite a clear out this summer and can see the likes of Hudd,Caulker,Parker hopefully Dempsey and maybe even Sigg or Holtby being sold to raise funds for more talented players,to strengthen our midfield and attacking areas.
We all know this is not easy as all the big clubs are almost looking at the same players but if we can get in early instead of waiting for the final day of the transfer market then we may just get lucky.
Felt we should have gone in for Sturridge when he was available as with his pace i'm sure we could have fitted him in with our preferred stiking game of using the flanks as Bale was alouded to roam.
Hopefully the scouts can find another Mata or striker like Droghba (sorry to mention 2 Chelsea players) but these are the type of players that you need to help get CL football.
I would like to think that spurs can still attract 1 or 2 big names to the lane and if we can hold onto Bale that we can continue to challenge for the future.
At the end of the day we missed out on CL football, but we were never going to win it and niether will the goons. -

It's no t over yet Donky!
You got lucky against the Toffees and you're only 1 point ahead.
Now it's our turn to bring the fight to you.
We've been looking down on you all season and pretty soon we'll be doing the same again.
Your luck will soon run out. -

Evening fellow yids.
I sometimes wonder how hard it is to manage a team of professional footballers whom surely love thier job and performing in front of cheering fans, especially in home games.
I''ve allways imagined that the team almost picks itself.
I.E.The best players in thier best positions and may be the hard part comes with injuries.
Tacticlly each game differs and squad rotation is a must, to keep each and every player on thier toes.
But as we all know there are 8 or 9 players that are allways the main stay of the team.
Any more than 2 ghanges from 1 game to another normally leads to dissruption in the team and although players coming in can often blamed for poor performances which in reallty can be down to1 of the regular 9 sulking because thier preferred link up man/ partner has been subed.
But at the end of the day you can only field the best team at your disposal, and if some of that team are players you bought into club via funds and you haven't achieved to the BOARDS expectations then possibly your jobs at risk.
Hence Kenny got the sack.
Whether he should have been given time to make things better,is down to them but maybe there are other problems aswell, like his sulky cmments in interviews after the game etc we'll never know.
Had he commented on each game like Martinez, whom IMHO was always constructive and mostly unbiased, then a lot more people would have felt sorry for him, which doesn't seem the case, but thats life, and although i'm a SPURS fan would happily accept the job for 100 grand a week.(can't be that hard, surely).

Evening fellow Yids!!
John and Sfer included.
Think the reason the boards been quiet at the moment, could be that maybe everyone's on a bit of a downer, due to lack of points on the board.
I for one,was hoping for a flying start to the season, with a hard fought away win and 2 comfertable home wins.
Whoopee 9pts.
Sadly not be.
3 games and only 2pts.
Nothing better than reading and chatting about a team thats possible title contenders and playing sublime football rather than "shit, what the fcuk is going on".
I think that everyone is still reading, but maybe not writing is
because
1)because the're so sloooow at typing (like me) or.
2)They just want to talk about how great our team is.
Now STOP ARGUING you two, and keep posting the threads we all love to read and get involved with.

Evening fellow Yids.
This is a must win game for us.
No good going to Old Trafford and winning and then losing in your own back yard to a bunch of over rated t0ssers who parked a 37 bus and won the champions league.
In the last two PL games against this lot we should have had all 6pts and so we need to put them to the sword.
When you live in the south of London like me,these fcukers are everywhere and totally get in your face with how great they are with all their money, how they deserve to be where they are.
Yes, this is going to be a tough test for us,but looking at player for player i think we can match them in all areas, and we have the home advantage in the FANS.
2-0 at half time and 3-1 on the final whistle.
Get in you Yids.
