The most worrying thing about all this is that the ref saw the challenge but didnt take no action.
Now this guy is only 25 years old and has been "fast tracked" to be a top flight referee, but i question if he has actually ever played the game because if he sees nothing wrong with this challenge then there is something wrong.
When i was playing non league football you would get these young kids reffing who didnt have a clue about what went on in a game and what was a bad tackle. They were only reffing because they were shit at playing and couldnt get in a team.
If the FA are serious about this "respect" campaign towards the refs, they need to make sure that they appoint people who are upto the task, and if they fail to deal with potential career threatening tackles then they must be dealt with.
Everyone can see the ref dropped a clanger with this one, but just because he saw it doesnt mean it should go unpunished. the rules need to be changed asap.

If it is true about McArtney then maybe KB is seeing the light and investing in players who will help us get to the EPL. If O'Brien becomes available then he must also flash the cash to get him on board. With O'Brien, Bruce, and paddy when he comes back we will have 3 quality CB's available.
Shame England missed out on the world cup, but Russia with all their "disposable income" have obviously greased a few palms when canvassing for votes.
Will the proposed development of ER happen now that we wont be hosting any world cup games?

Just wanted to wish you lot all the best for 2011, and hoping that Leeds manage to maintain the upward momentum and secure promotion this season.
Its been a great year for the club and who could forget the scenes on the day in May or that day in January?
Hope you all have a good night and are in good shape for the early kick off tomorrow.

Leeds go to our south yorkshire cousins along with over 3000 fans on Saturday looking to do the double over the blades for the first time since i can remember!!
I used to hate matches against this lot because they always seemed to beat us despite us being the "better" team, and Brammall Lane was always filled to the rafters which made it all the worse when we got beat because they knew how to rub it in.
It will be interesting to see what sort of crowd turn up for this game because the team are struggling big time, but the sheff fans might turn out in numbers because its Leeds in town and know that they might not get this chance again for a long time. I think that they are going down this season, which is a shame as we need as many Yorkshire clubs as high up as possible.
3 points is a must from this game, and when you look at the state of the blades squad, now minus the 2 players sent off last week, you cant see beyond a Leeds win.
Even Mickey Adams is considering his position only a few months after landing his "dream" job at the club, which shows that there cant be much spirit within the camp if the manager is already looking to throw in the towel. To be honest ive never really rated him as a manager.
Anyways we need to catch up with Norwich and put distance between us and 6th spot so we are at least certain of a playoff spot going into the final few games, and with Forest at ER next weekend its a great chance to get another win under the belt.
The first clean sheet in ages was a god send for the defence, but we failed to score at home for the first time since Cardiff gave us the runaround in October. You could not have seen that one coming after all the goals we have been banging in lately.
I hope SG starts with Becchio as he should be nice a fresh after his rest, and i would like to see Bannan start in place of Killkenny.
Not predicting the score as usual but i see lots of goals, and all of them for Leeds.
Happy 50th as well for the great man.

Most of us Leeds fans are hoping that someone comes in and buys the club to take us forward, like what has happened at Man City.
I dont think it will happen on a scale like it has at Eastlands, but everything is there for a potential investor as we have the fan base and infrastructure to be a major force in the premiership, so you never know. I bet you City fans are still pinching yourselves sometimes when you see how far you have come since the dark old days.
We just want someone to come in with a vision to take us back to our rightful place at the top table, without all this ownership bulls*it, over priced season tickets, and lack of investment in the team. While ever Papa Smurf is in charge, we will not reach our full potential as there are too many things that are causing the fans to disagree and stay away from games.
Im praying for the day that i see 40,000 for every home game and a team that we can be proud of wearing the Leeds shirt in the EPL.
Thats not too much to ask. Is it?

My head is messed up right now, not because i didnt see this coming, but because of the fallout that will come now we know he will still be in charge.
Colin might up sticks and walk out now he knows hes had the wool pulled over his eyes, and the fans are going to be baying for blood after being led a merry dance by the propaganda machine down at ER. If you thought the atmosphere was bad last season then you best stay away this season or at least until he goes. And what will the new players think of playing in a stadium that is ringing with negative chants and loads of empty seats?
There is a glimmer of hope as the potential new owners have said that if the deal which was aggreed at the start of June is honoured then they will come back to the table. However if papa smurf keeps digging his heels in for more money then this is dead in the water.
I was full of optimism even up until yesterday, but i feel like ive been kicked in the family jewels right now, and theres not much we can do about it. Ive already stopped going to matches and buying mercahandise so apart from bumping the old parasite off what else is there to do?

A very interesting line, and one i would love to see play at ER on Tuesday. Im really keen to see what Nunez has got in his locker, and also see if Faye is the answer to helping Killkenny be more creative.
Anyways we can only hope and pray.Hopefully we will see some improvement on saturdays game.
