I just hope 'arry doen't do too well and get poached for the England job.

I'm still not convinced that all this chopping and changing works - but it has been done again, so all you can do is hope that 'arry is at least as good as Jol.
Ramos - don't know how much of a chance he was actually given - and we'll never know now given that Comolli has also gone.
As for Levy - his record is appalling in anyones eyes - he brought in Santini (and Arnesen) then dropped him for Jol and lost Arnesen to Chelsea only to bring in Comolli, then he drops Jol after Jol has built a team that does two 5ths to replace him with Wendy who (presumably with Comolli - or under instruction from Comolli) sells 50% of the squad and brings in new players who can't play together and then to cap it all, sacks everyone that he has employed so far (and presumably scraps the role of director of football) and gets another manager in.

Does that insipre you with confidence as to his decision making? Hmmmmmm.

    You're still missing the point.
If you valued it so little, you wouldn't even be involved in this conversation - but it did hurt you. Maybe you have a low pain threshold. You can have tests for that...you may also want (while you're at it) to get the doc to take a look at that nasty red rash you have over 75% of your body.

    I don't follow circular logic.
'....I'm only here because people like you demand it...'

But if you never came here in the first place, you wouldn't have got any abuse.
Obviously any 'rival' fan only goes to an opposition board to 1) wind the people there up or 2) because they're argumentative and enjoy a good discussion or 3) a masochist.
Now, looking at the fact that you imply that you don't like it here, then I have simply pointed out that you fall into the 3rd bracket. IE a masochist.

And as far as I know, I personally haven't dished out any abuse - unless you count my concern over your health as abuse (and I think your paranoia, masochism etc only reinforce my view that you should see a doc).

PS Can I ask what you mean by '....and explain your problem with computer identities ...'? Now that I've also pointed out that I think you may be paranoid, I would be careful how you answer that.

I find it ironic that Harry has come out and said that the squad needs improving, given what we have spent over the past few seasons. It just goes to show that the continuity allegedly provided by a sporting director just cost money, rather than saved it - as it seems none of the past 3 managers agreed with all the purchases made by Comolli.

Look at this site for the spend comparison - excludes the current season, but gives a fair indication (Apologies for the site, but I was looking for a transfer comparative!)

Good job I'm not a chairman - as that is tantamount to saying that all the buys over the last two years were cr*p.
We spent what in the last transfer window? Is that more then Villa,Everton,Hull.........etc combined? And that was spent purely to avoid the drop?
    Defoe
    Palacios
    Keane
    Chimbonda

Look at the squad thread. I know there's the issue of being cup tied - but if our squad isn't better than just 'avoiding' relegation - then I give up.

'arry should be saying - 'look you bunch - you get paid a kin fortune, get out there and sweat lard'. 3 games in a week with a squad of 30? When all you live for is to play football? What?

I bet Daws would say that he'd relish the chance to play all three..!

    Rambro,
I think he'll be off too - and he'll go to another club where they don't play such 'pretty' football and he'll bang in another 15 goals for them.

The point is why does it seem that the Spurs players seem to bear the brunt of the press vitriol? Bale can't play a game without someone saying 50 times in 30 seconds that Spurs haven't won with him in the side.
Bent gets slammed before he even plays - but Heskey just doesn't score and no one bats an eyelid when he continues to be picked for England - and his club record for the past n years has been abysmal.
Robbo got slammed and slammed - but how many mistakes does James, Carson et al make and they're pointed out and then forgotten?

I'm not saying you can't criticise - that's everyone's prerogative and is expected - but people constantly having a pop must screw your confidence no end - and as we all know, most of the top players play at their peak when their confidence is high. Success breeds success.

    Welcome back Sfer,

I think we should always go to win every game..simple as that. If 'arry believes he can do that by playing Johnny Two Saints (I wish I had a name like that) and Bale and Keane - oops isn't that a first team anyway?

The discussion last year was more on the 'impression' that 'arry gave that he didn't want to progress in the UEFA. This time, from what I've heard, he does want to go on in the CC . Although he values a CL spot more (obviously).
I think he'll put Keane/Pav up front - maybe Bale as left mid (or left back) with Two Saints then left mid. Jenas/Palacios/Bentley. The back line then being Naughton/Daws/Bassong/Bale.

To me that team has enough quality to win against most anyway - and as I keep saying (ad nauseam) - the squad has to be good enough anyway.

    Here's to the next round...!

    B2S,
That's the point about opinions, when you disagree with something, that 'something' is seen to be invalid, and when you agree, it becomes a valid point. And when you see something as valid, to somebody else it's invalid and vice-versa.
So, SB is just saying what she thinks. All food for thought.

That's why we all love football so much - so many different opinions and so little that you can actually class as fact. Fact, we drew 2-2 with Everton. Opinion, did we play well?

I thought that we lost the game in the middle of the park. We looked lightweight (not in a physical 'hard' sense - just in 'drive'). Bale - made a mistake or two, but for someone who's hardly played - he did well. Dawson made a couple of silly challenges. But overall, it was the midfiled who for me seemed to lack that 'oomph'.
