A few reasons why I think Schumacher doesn't even deserve to even be considered "One of the Greatest": 1. '94 collision with Hill on the last race 2. '97 collision with Villeneuve on the last race 3. Made his telemetry unavailable to his teammate (Berger I think). WTF was this allowed to happen? 4. Barrichello made to let him pass in Austria and Rubens' subsequent weeping on the podium. If the team was built around him, he could have disregarded the order. Team orders my a**. Schumacher's subsequent gesture in Indy made it a mockery. This pisses the hell out of me. Let the race winner take the chequered flag!!! 5. Monaco parking incident.

though i agree with you that if the 3 cars did break the rules, they should be penalized.

though i agree with you that if the 3 cars did break the rules, they should be penalized. what is not clear is how should they be penalized. disqualified and lose points gained or disqualified and removed from their places (letting LH move up)? i think i read somewhere that max mosley said that even if they broke the rules, LH will / should not move up in position for Brazil or something to that effect.
lastly, in this age of high tech racing, rules are sadly implemented in a low tech way and neither does it have consistency.

I think I read somewhere that Alonso was supposed to move to Ferrari (verbal agreement) then suddenly signed with McLaren. I don't think Ferrari will sign FA given this incident.
