Derby County Message Board
As soon as CY is convicted/acquitted I think the club will be sold.
We'll probably know of any movement from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange because they must be informed first. Then there has to be an AGM by which time it would be public knowledge anyway.
Fingers crossed anyway for a speedy sale.
Bit quiet round here these days.. !
I've heard Howie has started a up a bakery in Newton St, near the railway somewhere.. in Dubai !!
Hello to you all.. its been a while since I was round these parts !!
The only thing that's changed (apart from dumping the ex-misses for a newer, younger model) is the slow but sure demise of the Dingles. No great loss.
Catch ya's later.
Mr Pannu, has said the accounts will be published before the 19 May and although they will show the club in the red, they're not as bad as expected.
Exactly how bad remains to be seen.
At least a summer long transfer embargo would not materialise.
Secondly, he assures us there is soon to be major investment and he has urged the present owners to sell if an offer comes in.
..I have a friend who lives in Hong Kong and he's telling me that a takeover is imminent. The reports are that the owners of Singapore Airlines are the main interested party.
If (and it's a big IF) it's true, we would be on a par or even ahead of the likes of Man City and Chelsea for major investment.
I stood in the queue for the play-off tickets after Tilton dropped me off and the general talk was of one or two very rich prospective owners just waiting for CY's trial in November.
Saying that, we all know these types of trials can go on for years, so what of our long term future ?
The accounts will be published as soon as our fate for next season has become clear. Stay in this division and they will show us just in the red, gain promotion and we'll be well into the black. One thing about our Far Eastern neighbours is heir ability to cook. This includes books...!
Players will be wearing shirts with the number 26 on their back and Fabrice's face on the front for the warm-up on Sunday against Cardiff.
We should hold a minutes applause on the 26th Minute.
KRO Fabrice Muamba.
BD, what I'm going to say has nothing to do with your post, I was going to say it anyway :-)
How refreshing to see football played when there is a bit of snow or ice around.
It's about time these well paid professionals played in inclement weather.
It is all a part of English football. Something that is slowly disappearing with foreign managers and players wanting a winter break.
I'm sure almost everyone who comes on these blogs would love a paid winter break.
My mate has to be out in all weather's, heat, cold, ice, snow, rain, etc. Does he complain ? Probably to his misses and close mates, but he gets on with it, because he's paid to do it. It's his job.
Back to the game, I thought both sides deserve credit for trying to play footy in difficult conditions, and a draw was about right.
What a performance from the lads at Elland Road.
Special mention to Ziggy for sticking it to his boo boys. That should keep them quiet till Saturday evening at least...
When was the last time we played such open football and scored so many goals ?
We're even keeping it tight at the back, so you can't count Barry Fry's philosophy of you score six, we'll score seven.
Up to 4th, still with that game in hand, we are the last team anyone wants to play right now.
Looking back at the goals from the last 12 or 13 games, they've been good goals. I mean good individual goals and plenty of team goals.
Our fourth at Sheffield was after a passage of 14 passes from the back to midfield, from left to right, wingers to forwards and the super finish from Rooney.
Liam who ?
BD, CH has said he's looking to bring in two or three loanees once the loan window opens next week.
I think you'll find most of that £6.5M will go towards the day to day running of the club with perhaps a minimal amount to cover the loans.
What a day, good footie, good beer, good company, 4 very good goals and a superb passage of passing for Elliotts goal.
Who would have thought it, we're not only talking about winning, but by how many...wow !
Long may it continue.
Dingle bells, Dingle bells,
Dingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to see the Brummies win away OH!....
Me and Nige even had time for a beer in the Wolves stronghold pub 'The Feathers' before the game.
I dont think the locals were too impressed eh Nige ?
Here's the marlon King penalty from the Moys Road end,
sorry about the shaking buit it was bloody cold. (my excuse and I'm sticking to it)
