I totally agree with you on this one, the adverts during the race are really annoying and i yearn for the BBC to get formula 1 back so we can get back to uninterupted coverage, because unfortunately you don't get half time or 12 rounds in a grand prix

I thought that his "accident" was deliberate as soon as I saw it because the timing and position was to perfect to be true. It stopped all his rivals having a last go at pole. He has used these tactics before like when he crashed into Damon Hill to deny him the world championship when he himself had made a mistake and crashed out. His body language afterwards at the press conference said it all as well.

That's where you're wrong then because the foreigner rule is directly related to the bosman ruling. Up untill the bosman ruling, teams were only allowed three foreign players in, but after bosman, the limit was scrapped due to EEC freedom of employment rules.

Both teams do not need to be involved to fix a match just one and the referee, just think bask to the early seventies when leeds were robbed of a trophy, the ref later admitted he was paid off to make sure leeds lost. However having said that, I do not think that is the case here as I believe the english game is free of corruption, but I do feel Webb favours united in matches.

Well said Psycho I started a thread on this very issue on Saturday but it seems to have disapeared, and all the Shumacher fans were all blinkered on that thread as well. A friend and myself were talking together about this yesterday and a point he made was that there have been to many questionable incidents involving Shumacher over the years for them all to be mistakes or accidents, and even the most ardent of Shumacher fans can't really argue about that.

Howard Webb always seems to favour united whoever plays them but just look at the decisions today.
1) Penalty, it was never a pen, yes Masch pulled at Valencia back but released him just before he entered the box, only then did Valencia decide to fall over Masch correctly got a yellow but Valencia should have got yellow as well for diving, not a penalty awarded, which swung the game, a game they were losing (Like the game against Tottenham last season) albeit with only minutes gone United's way. But like I said it was Webb.
2) Gary Neville comes in with a neck high challenge with his knee on Maxi Rodriguez and then on the way down catches him with his studs leaving Maxi needing a bandage to continue, if that isnt dangerous or serious foul play with a case for a card, possibly red, then I don't know what is. But like I said it was Webb.
3)Fletcher aims a kick at Kuyt's ankle (similar to the one your former idol Beckham aimed at Simeone at the world cup) after a tussle for the ball and then throws a punch at him, both call for a straight red, but gets no more that a stern talking to (and Iwould put my mortgage on Ferguson not calling for the DISFUNCTIONAL FA to look at that again like he was calling for them to over gerrard). But like i said it was Webb.
Yes Torres could have got a card for dissent when he kicked at the penalty spot but i havn't seen anyone booked for kicking the grass yet.
At the end of the day the officials clearly favoured United again and it has happened time and time again at Old Trafford .

If you ask me the whole thing stinks, and Hamilton has been the victim of the battle between Max Mosely and Ron Dennis, or the powers that be just did not want a rookie to win the championship, simply because I cant believe that a team with the experience of Maclaren can make such basic mistakes as the ones we have seen here today or the ones in China in the last round. Either that or this has got to be the biggest choker in the history of sport.

I,m not wearing rose tinted specs i just wish the officials would get decisions correct, there are situations every week in all matches where they give penalties where they have been conned and stonewall penaltys where they wave away appeals. The two yesterday were correct, even if the first one was soft as i said earlier, but some of the decisions could and have cost some clubs points, and in the final shake up at the end of the season these could be crucial in fighting for european places or even relgation and the financial implications that this invloves, and this is not fair on the fans.

An excellent post, with good points well made, but there's another point I would like to add to this, and that is Alex Ferguson nearly got Manure relegated and was one F.A. Cup tie away from the sack, but he won that tie and went on to win the cup that year kept his job, and just look at what he has achieived since then. Rafa however has delivered major trophies already and we have been nowhere near relegation, on the contrary we have qualified for the C.L. albeit once by special dispensation, but the upshot we must keep faith in Rafa and he will deliver, because if we don't Real Madrid will snap him up and we may just regret it. In Rafa we trust
