Manchester United Message Board
'WILL there be a swan dive on Sunday?
Bookmakers bet365 offer 7-2 that any Manchester United is booked for diving when they take on Swansea City in the third round of the FA Cup.
United midfielder Adnan Januzaj already has three cautions for simulation to his name, while Ashley Young also has previous.'
A change of tune, Fab. Which contradicts your earlier Berba stance?
But I totally agree, we're not desperate for strikers as have been made out by the press, there's PLENTY of ammunition already in the squad and the way we play isn't geared towards strikers dependence. Rather, more focus is given to everyone contributing their fair share of goals.
Anyone with even the slightest semblance of intelligence won't reply to boring shyte.
Why don't you P155 OFF to your MIDTABLE board if you hate it that much on here, Rikki?
John and I had our disagreements on many subjects, some regrettably petty and childish but we have since learn to respect differing views and have moved on which makes the forum a better place to come nowadays. Maybe you should learn to move on and use the board for the purpose it was intended for, Rikki.
There was a plausible reason why Red Nose got rid of him in the first place.
Dream on Dimitar Berba but I think you're wasting your time. Midtable fodder is your level mate!
Welcome back, Rikk.... hehe he!
I've got a couple of questions for you old fruit - what the hell is going on at the Theatre of Dreams? Lastly, what are your thoughts on the latest demands/ campaign by the influential Man U fanzine, The Red Issue, who have called for David Moyes to rid the club of the ingrained diving culture at Old Trafford?
Personally, I think it's refreshing that Man U fans are now admitting that their players are cheats.
A big, powerful, pacy forward who terrifies defences for fun and scores a lot of goals
Apparently, various sources are reporting in todays papers that Arsenal are willing to trigger his £32m release clause. This goes with the new buying strategy at the club to go for the best, only the best like Ozil.
I think Costa would fit the bill and is exactly what the doctor ordered.
A loan move until the end of the season would be the best option for us. We agree to pay a certain % of his wages in addition to the loan fees. Beware that Berba's contract with Fulham ends in July and there's no talk planned to extend his expiring deal with them. £8m is too much to waste on someone who will become a free agent in the summer.
To his credit, Eddy engages in football discussions mostly which is more than can be said for his foulmouthed attackers. Who gives a damn F if he's a Villa fan?
Anything is possible but I fail to see Berba's signing on the horizon for us. You never know, Rooney may decide to go on strike again and ask to be transfer-listed this window due to Man U's lack of ambition....:)
As in all walks of life, a contract means something when players decided that they want to see out their fat cat contracts and don't want to leave. Clubs are powerless in these instances. There are many precedents in football where clubs want to cash in for one reason or another but players decided they want stay and fight for their place in the team as they always said. Most often, it’s a “money thing” and players want to get as much as they possibly can elsewhere regardless of how much playing time they are getting with their current employers.
Eddy, I think you'd find that Berba would only leave Fulham on his terms if the financial package is right for him as he's still contracted to them.
Put yourself in his shoes, why would you walk away from a nice contract he's enjoying at Fulham, especially at his age? I think he would stick around until he drawn down his current contract with Fulham and then move on a free transfer later. It makes financial sense that way.
I can't see it happening as Berba is currently on £110k -a-week wage at Fulham. It's highly unlikely that Wenger would agree to pay that much for a bench-warmer. Lets face it, Berba won't be more than if he joins Arsenal when everyone is fit. Also, we shouldn't forget the source of the rumour, The Sun. Not exactly what you called a reliable source given their past record. It seems to me that Berba's agents planted this rumour in the paper in order to generate interests in their client who is obviously having problems convincing Fulham to extend his expiring 2 year contract with them without taking a huge pay-cut in order to be in line with the rest of their squad.
I've just checked Berba's age online, 33 at the end of the month. Given the massive clearance last summer, he's not exactly the sort of signing we should be making... Steer clear of Berba, Wenger!
An emphatic no from me, Berba would slow down the pace in our play, a negative. He's another Arshavin in the sense that he's supremely gifted but sadly past it at the level Arsenal now play in. He'd be a great asset for a midtable table side, his current level (imo).

...what do you make of the Lloris/Young incidents, was it "A stonewall penalty kick" as 'The Chosen One' angrily stated or another pathetic attempt by diver Young to con the official...?
...oh, someone tell JanuCheat to stop DIVING...picked up another yellow card for diving, his fourth for the season..:)

I do feel sorry for the CHEATING AND DIVING Man U players..... WIN at all costs mentality eh!
What an average side Man U were and still are.....
Remarked the commentators........
I think they got exactly what they deserved for their backward 10 men behind the ball anti-football tactics.
Well done Bendtner for bravery. I hope he recovers swiftly from his injury. Well played Arsenal.

I think he would regret doing so if Liverpool miss the CL boat again...
I can't see Real or Wenger going for him in the summer, he may end up at Monaco or PSG should Liverpool fail.
Isn't it strange that he always goes missing against the very top sides? Very unconvincing display by him against the Chavs.
