I am sorry to hear that Mr David Gold is leaving Birmingham City Football Club.
He has been a solid anchor in the board room and well respected by all other clubs.
I sincerely hope is successor is as well respected and has the same broad shoulders that David had.
Good luck to both of them in their new ventures. -

I agree with almost everything you say.
I'm not to sure about the brains of Steve McNanaman, I will reserve judgement.
I am still not convinced that McLeish is the right man to take us to the next level, I think he has about 4/5 games to prove the new owners he is the man before they bring in someone they can trust with 20-40 million to spend. Hopefully we will be in a more secure position by then.
Mcleish changed his tactics on Saturday, and I appreciate that every game should be taken on its merits, but I don't think they should change much against Manchester City.
I honestly don't think they relish teams that are prepared to attack them, though we are solid in defence, they have their weaknesses until you reach Given. -

They only just beat Q.P.R last night.
Can't remember the last time Sheffield United were successful at anything. -

What a day and an even better night, still cannot believe it has happened.
Big Eck has come under criticism for some decisions and I was unsure about paying Zigic as a lone striker and five in midfield but he was spot on with that.
35,000 travelling Blues fans evidently and they certainly made themselves heard now let’s see them all at St Andrews and lift the boys up the league.
Nice Birthday gift for Carson too:
Maybe an even bigger transfer kitty will be available come the summer, but these guys will never be forgotten in the history of Birmingham City F.C.
Hopefully the start of many more to come too:

The Blues have always been unpredictable and never do the easy thing, hopefully it won’t go down to the last match at Tottenham, and if it does then I think they will grind out the required result.
We always play well against Liverpool so a draw is a good call; we desperately need to win our remaining 2 games at home and with the supporters making the extra man is well within our means too.
Newcastle is not the team they were without Carroll so I can see a draw being realistic there.
That will give us 46 and a comfortable finish to what has been another good season.
Big Eck needs to be more attack minded and stop playing Jerome as the lone striker to make these predictions a reality, hopefully Martins will be back for the Newcastle game and he will want to prove them wrong,.
I think with Sunderland and Blackburn in freefall we will be safe with 40 points providing we don’t ship too many goals, the lack of goals scored has been our undoing this season and we are desperate for a 15/20 goal striker next season.
Liverpool v Blues (D) 1-1
Birmingham City v Wolves (W) 2-1
Newcastle United v Birmingham City (D) 1-1
Birmingham City v Fulham (W) 1-0
Tottenham Hotspur v Birmingham City (L) 1-0

PP, I think you are bang on regarding the refs and having microphones, but how many players would be sent off for swearing….
On the positive side why can’t a referee or linesman (how the decision for the ball being over the line came from the position of the linesman) be interviewed after the game just like players and managers… they say they are all human… (Have clear doubts about some and definitely worry about their parentage in others)
But if they came out and explained why a decision was made, or apologise for getting it wrong… mind, there is the time factor… they could have their own channel just for Saturdays games, but serious decisions could be explained….. Why not have a referee on match of the day to give the referee’s viewpoint.
I see also that F.I.F.A now reckon on using technology by 2012.
Still can’t see why we can’t introduce it in the premiership to start with, I shouldn’t think it would cost that much compared to the price of a decant player these days, but the benefits would soon pay that back in a season.
Just thing of all the wrong decisions that have cost teams matches, the league would look a lot different but at least it would be fair and honest… If only decisions across the 18 yard to the goal line were looked at like they do on MOTD etc. -

Alex McLeish blamed everyone and everything apart from the actual person… Himself.
Some of his tactics were so negative, even at home; his belief in Jerome should have had the men in white jackets taking him in custody.
We new that the loaned and out of contract players were going but it brings me to an old argument.
Any players from a relegated team are allowed to leave and join another premier club, I would prefer it if they were made to stay on a reduced contract until the January window, if they insist on leaving then they should not be allowed to join another premiership team.
The close season should be interesting, we are better off than West Ham or Blackpool since we can offer European football and will still get some TV monies from the games we play. -

Should it have gone ahead?
Still unbeaten at home and credit to both teams for trying to play the football they know.
It was a pity really as both teams can play some fine football.

Why are we having none Birmingham City news posted on our page.
Last season it was vile news, now it is Norwich, we don't play in Claret and Blue or Canary Yellow and Green.
We Are BLUE, ROYAL BLUE and TRUE BLUE.
